I received a wax. Granted I was overdue, but the wax was pretty spotty. I went home and had to do a quick shave to clean up my thighs and other areas which defeats the purpose of a wax. The waxing area is rather small so she did all the waxing from one side.

Positive: Punctuality, ValueSo I called ahead and was able to get a same day appointment which was cool. I have been getting my nails done consistently every 2 weeks for more than 4 years now and I’ve learned what to expect from a good set. I wanted a new set, ombre from black to burgundy. Not too complicated. Ombre seems to be pretty rub off the mill now in nail salons. He asked if i wanted the length shortened. I said no, just shaped up and he shortened it anyways. I showed the picture. He chose the wrong color. Candy apple red over burgundy. Then the application was poor and I mentioned it not blending, we tried a couple more times and then decided to go in another direction.Usually I would really be annoyed by this. But Tommy kept working with me to make sure I was going to be happy with what I was paying for. He was kind, patient, and professional. I didn’t get exactly what I wanted or expected, but I’m still happy with the result we worked out. Then I went to pay and it was less than what I’m used to paying elsewhere so now I really had no complaints. They are very busy. Tourist trap for sure. But it’s not a bad place for decent quality nails at a good price. I would go again if I was in a pinch, but I think I’ll continue to seek to pay a little more elsewhere for the talent.Services: Nail art, Acrylic nailsSo I called ahead and was able to get a same day appointment which was cool. I had Kenny today to do a pedicure. The reviews of him that you can find below are true. He was very rushed and rude. I asked for the deluxe pedicure. Granted I was a walk in. He told me it was fine and then not even five minutes later asked if I would do a basic pedicure. Because he was busy. Which if he would have said in the beginning that he didn’t have time to do it I would have either came back later in the day or agreed to just do the basic one. Well I told him the basic one was fine and when he realized I was upset he did the deluxe. He put the scrub, mask, and lotion on my skin at the same time to do the massage together I guess to hurry up. Then didn’t even rinse it. He also did the hot stones which he literally just wiped each side of my leg with once then put them away. Once the hot towels came out he told me he would leave them on for a few minutes. Not even 2 minutes later was he proceeding to take them off. In total the “deluxe” pedicure lasted maybe 30 minutes. There was two women who had been seated before me on either side getting worked on (they had both been sitting there before I even walked in because I saw everyone who was in the salon while waiting) and I finished before them! This pedicure at best could be called a basic one. I’m only calling it that because he actually scrubbed the bottom of my feet for more than 30 seconds. When I complained to the very understanding secretary she did not even seemed surprised that I hated my service with him. That apparently this is a usual thing with him. I was going to pay $86 originally but she had me pay $70. I don’t even think this pedicure was worth $20. I’m typically an understanding person considering I have worked in customer service and health care but this service was horrible. If it was even possibly I would want my money back. It was a waste of $70 I could have done everything at home and had a more relaxing experience for less than $20

Mike did amazing on my powder dips(or sns?) I wanted ombre with sunflowers and sparkles. He is a true artist! The person who did my pedicure also did amazing though I felt a little rushed but I think it was only because of the language barrier. The other people that works there were also very nice! I would definitely come back!

This has been my go to pedicure place for years because they were amazing… I literally recommend them to everyone. Today I paid $50 for a pedicure that lasted 20 min from beginning to end (including taking off my previous polish). The stones were rubbed up and down my leg maybe twice and the lotion/massage was about 1 min per leg. I’ve never had a pedicure last less than 30-40 min. No cleaning under my nails, no scrubbing. Just nail trim and exfoliating sponge for about 30 seconds. Truly could have easily done the same at home. I haven’t had a pedicure since January but a lot has changed since then it would seem. I could understand rushing if I was a walk in but I had a scheduled appointment. Increased prices for less service. Not sure I’ll be back.

Made appointments for manicures and pedicures, despite being disappointed in their service the last few times we have been. 3 Appointments were made a week in advance, and the day before they called and said one of the appointments may be a little later than the others. We still went, and once we were there with our feet in the water they informed us that we were not on the books for manicures, only pedicures. We were upset about this and they seemingly could not do anything about it until we mentioned going somewhere else. Suddenly they have availability to do 3 pedicures and manicures, but at the expense of quality. We were rushed through, little attention to detail. Steps were skipped, cold water to soak nails in, nails painted with rough spots and starting so far from the nail bed, they are sure to grow out within a few days and start peeling off. My pedicure and manicure were complete before another customer’s pedicure alone, and she was was sitting there before we ever arrived. Overall very poor experience here, and it’s not the first time. Would not recommend wasting money and time here. Pricy and disappointed.

I love Blue Ocean Spa & Nails. I went for a pedicure a couple of weeks ago and a wonderful time! Crystal, the pedicurist, was so much fun. We talked and laughed and she gave me the best pedicure I think I’ve ever had!
