Blue Moon Hairplace was established in 1996 and has always been a one chair salon. Specializes in Precision Haircutting for Men and Women. Other services include natural hair color/deep conditioning/facial waxing. Also beard/mustache and goatee trimming. Located on the corner of Main & Poplar Streets in the Village of Zionsville. I take great care with my clients and listen to what their needs are! I have created a very relaxing and comfy feel in the salon with one on one service!

It was kind of hard to put what I wanted my hair to look like in words, but she understood what I meant completely and turned out great! She is such a joy to be around, it’s really fun to have conversations with Tina while she does your hair! She also is quite the artist, there are many of her paintings hung up on her walls. There is also a beautiful display of the jewelry she made herself! All in all, I love her hairstyling skills and her as a person! Edit: My 1 star review is not in response to her hair cutting, as I never got that far, but to her rudeness. I called and immediately apologized, and stated that we were just going to be 10 minutes late, I had ended up having a rather hectic morning and therefor was running behind. As a human, that happens. But instead of getting any understanding I got a lecture about how she EXPECTED her clients to be on time, how she was staying late for me (she never told me that), and how I was being inconsiderate of her time. I was completely taken aback and didn’t know how to respond other than saying “would you prefer we cancel” to which she said “that would be great”. Someone who is inconsiderate of your time would not have called to apologize and warn you of unavoidable tardiness.

My fiance and I had booked a session for today, but we got caught up with a family matter, so when we called her a half hour before the session to let her know we would be 5-10 minutes late she went off on us and was extremely rude. I understand we made a small mistake, but there is no reason to talk to anyone the way she talked to us, it was awful. We canceled the session and will be taking our business elsewhere.

I have been having Tina at The Blue Moon Hairplace do my haircuts for years. Tina is the owner and the only hair sylist at the Hairplace. You will be the only client there during your appointment. I like that. What I like the most is the high quality of work she does that is always consistent. There are never any surprises in what she does. Tina also does a great job of fitting appointments around my busy schedule and making last minute changes if I need it. If you are considering changing hair stylists you will not go wrong picking Tina.

I have been going to Tina for haircuts for years. I think I started when I was 10. She always does a great job and gives you the full shampoo and conditioner treatments unlike barber shops. Her price is very reasonable for the quality you get. Location is prime in Zionsville and there is rarely ever a wait. I highly recommend for all types of hair treatments!
