Blue Hawaii Tattoo & Piercing Maui is at the top tier of the best-rated tattoo shops in Lahaina, Maui. Our shop artists are well-known for their tattoo designs all over Hawaii and on the U.S. mainland as well. We are located on Lahainaluna Road a couple blocks up from the Front Street intersection in the downtown center of Lahaina. Our tattoo designs incorporate traditional Polynesian and Hawaiian art and motifs, as well as pop, modern, line art and abstract designs. This was my first tattoo and I was a little nervous, met Sean and to be honest he didn’t instill a great sense of comfort, he kinda shook his head as I told him what I wanted. I showed him two pictures. I was in a hurry and needed a tat next day, he cleared his schedule and got me in. I came in and he had a sketch, we made some changes and went off to the races. Sean knocked it out of the park! His tattoo exceeded my expectations. He worked very diligently for 5 hours. I highly recommend Sean, I couldn’t be happier. I had some tat heads give me high praise for his work. If I come back to Maui, I will definitely look him up again!

Johnny was able to find me an appointment the same day with Abel Lopez. Abel was easy to work with on the details of the tattoo. He took his time while tattooing me, and the piece turned out great. Got my latest ink done by David back in May. It was great to sit back and talk with David as he worked. We talked about everything from radio stations in California we listened to, to motorcycles, to dogs. It was a my wife and I’s 3rd anniversary trip we decided to get some ink done on our last day on Maui. The shop is very clean and a very friendly welcoming atmosphere. With as much as I love my new ink, I wished you could have given my wife her first Tattoo. Had I had my wits about me, I would have gladly given her my slot with you. my brother and i last minute looked for a shop in help on his make a wish trip! the shop owner was incredibly nice in receiving want we wanted, sasha the receptionist was great at communication, and the two that tattooed us (johnny and another i can’t remember the name of) were extremely kind and professional. i would fly all the way out there for a tattoo every time if i could! definitely would recommend.

Great friendly staff, me and my wife went in to get tattoos to commemorate or honeymoon and everyone there was super helpful and patient. Got a couple amazing tattoos and couldn’t be happier! Definitely recommend if you’re looking for a tattoo before leaving Hawaii! Phenomenal shading done by the owner Dave and clean fine line work from Johnny! We checked out quite a few shops in the area and Blue Hawaii tattoo had the best looking portfolio and you can easily see their finished work on their Instagram! Will definitely be back next time we’re in Maui!
