I booked a blowout two weeks prior to an event. An hour before my appointment I got an email saying the appointment was cancelled. I immediately called the salon to see what happened and no one answered. I tried calling two more times and no response! I know things happen I just would have liked a phone call or text just letting me know if there was a reason like sickness that they cancelled my appointment. I would not recommend this salon due to poor communication.

It’s that time of year, as the weather warms up, that my hair starts to really frizz & become unmanageable. Last week I booked Ashley for a Brazilian Blowout treatment. I could not be happier. I can let my hair air dry or blowdry it with smooth results. The Brazilian Blowout saves me styling time as well. Thank you Ashley for this life changing treatment!

Critical: Cleanliness, ProfessionalismThis salon sent a stylist who was unvaccinated, sick with fever and horrible cough to do my daughter’s wedding party hair yesterday, October 10, 2021. The stylist was honest and told my daughter when she arrived, but my daughter, at that point had already been exposed when she answered her hotel door without a mask on to let the stylist in. The stylist also said she told the salon owner she was sick, but the owner said she had to go because their was no one to take her place. I sent the stylist home, but now my daughter has to worry about her own health until she can get tested. I do not understand how 1) a person who works in close proximity to their clients does not get vaccinated and 2) a salon owner would have such little consideration for their clients they would put at risk instead of stepping up and covering for the clearly ill stylist. Ashley, Eden and Vanessa did hair and makeup for my bridesmaids and I on my wedding day. Their work was FLAWLESS and having them there just felt like getting ready with a few more friends! Megan the owner was great throughout the whole process before the wedding too. Even with a few hiccups she was great at maintaining communication with me and helping me smooth everything out!

Came by boat the Saybrook. Made an appt online for root touch up. She called and I gave her my color formula from my stylist at home. She uses Goldwell too and was ready for me when I arrived. Pleasant, bright salon. My hair looks and feels great!

Absolutely horrible customer service skills. My contract for my wedding said I would have them until 3 pm for my wedding day in case I needed retouches. They left at 1 pm and rushed through the bridesmaids hair and mine so they could get back to the salon. If you have a contract until a certain time you stay. Especially since it was the hottest day and my curls weren’t staying. On top of it when I called because they charged me $100 over what the amount actually was Kelsey gave me an attitude and told me “I’ve never had a bride have a problem with us leaving early”. Did she forget that some brides actually like to have the photographer snap some pictures of the getting ready phase? Completely unprofessional. Don’t waste your time or money with them.

I have one word for Blow Dry at the Beach AMAZING! I got married at Saybrook Point over Labor Day weekend & the girls at Blow Dry couldn’t have been more accommodating. We all had our hair + makeup done at the shop & they were so wonderful – from muffins & mimosa’s when we walked in to taking the time to perfect each bridesmaids hair + makeup they were the glam squad every bride dreams of. As the bride, they made my fairytale vision come to life & my hair was nothing short of magical for my wedding day. Oh and if you’re looking for that wedding day glow, Kelcee has your back girl – best spray tan on the shoreline! I’d highly recommend Blow Dry to any bride looking for her glam team!
