i went to bloomfield nails on saturday and i am just going to say i am beyond disappointed. my nails have never hurt worse than how they do now. right when she was doing them, my nails were all bleeding, and then she apologized however continued to keep drilling. i was in so much pain and was pulling my hands away and she kept going. it doesn’t look bad in the picture, but this is a day after and my hands are so sensitive and hurt very bad. i’ve been before, and it was good, but this time is the worst nail experience i’ve ever had.

One of the worst experiences I’ve ever had at a nail salon. The man who did my nails rushed me through the entire process. When I told him the shape of my nail was chunky and crooked he ignored me. I told him the color was wrong 3 TIMES. He ignored me, kept going. He didn’t care that I wasn’t happy. Most nails look streaky and lumpy. I came for a fill and was charged for a full set. Attitude the whole time. My nails are nothing like I wanted, he was more invested in the conversation he was texting on his phone than the half effort job I paid $55 for. When he asked how I liked them I told him it was wrong but I’ll live with it. He did nothing to make it right. The only time I’ve tipped nothing for my nails. Never ever coming back.

Critical: QualityI’ve been getting my eyebrows waxed for years now, but haven’t been to this location before. I went on Saturday, and thought my skin was just red afterwards like normal, but realized she actually ripped the top layer of my skin off! Not okay. I don’t have sensitive skin. Will not be returning.

The building itself is absolutely beautiful and tastefully decorated and my nail tech was polite and respectful. There was a wait even with an appointment, but it was only 10 minutes and I still got my nails done in good time. I got half inch almond acrylics with gel polish, the polish was good but the shape and length consistency was lesser then I had experienced at other salons. Overall it was a nice experience but nothing better nor worse then I’ve experienced at smaller and cheaper salons.

Really nice workers and I really loved my nails. Also the woman who did my nails had a great attitude and was really understanding when I changed my mind about my design.

This is the 3rd time I have called to make appointment to come in at a certain time and have had to wait a considerable amount of time. Today, after a 1/2 hour of waiting I asked how much longer and recieved a non committal response. I responded “I appreciate if your busy and would appreciate when I call and ask what time you can take me, would you let me know?” Radio silence….. unfortunately, 35 min into waiting I left.

This was a rough one. The good thing about this experience was that I didn’t have to wait very long to be helped even though the salon was busy. After that it was bad.. my nail tech took a little over 2 hours to apply acrylic nails, a process that usually takes 30-40 minutes. She made my cuticles bleed three times by being far too aggressive with the grinder. After being very patient with the process, I left with the most botched set of acrylic nails I have her seen. I did not receive what I asked for at all and I paid over 50$ for it. I was politely trying to express my concerns with the look of the nails while she was working but she just kept telling me it would look the way I wanted. I loveeeee Bloomfield Nails in Troy, and I highly recommend that location, but this one was really bad. I now have 50$ nails that I hate and have to wait weeks to attempt to fix them after they grow out since they are so short and thick. Beware, going to this salon will be a LENGTHY experience so do not go if you’re in a hurry.

Critical: Professionalism, Quality, ValueThis was the worst nail experience ever. My nail tech was so rude, I’ve never been spoken to so meanly in my entire life. I asked for an acrylic soak off but instead got my acrylics painfully ripped off. Rather than using acetone, she shoved a plastic artificial tip between my real nail and the acrylic to release it. I could’ve easily taken the nails off in a damaging manner like this at home, but I went to the salon hoping to get them removed in a more professional way. It seems as though I paid $10 to be disrespected and talked down to. I will never return to this nail salon.Service: Acrylic nailsThis was the worst nail experience ever.
