Angela Brown is the “owner” of this place. She is awful, rude, and only has 1 stylist in her salon so that there is no availability for appointments even when you pay a $60 membership every month like I did for 6 months. They were never able to schedule me and then when I wanted to use my free blow dries, she told me I couldn’t. She then tries to bring me outside of the salon to talk but then tries to tell me I have to leave because I don’t want to talk to her alone outside. NEVER GO HERE. She will take your money gladly then kick you out of the salon. Her own staff can’t stand her and agree the place is run like a joke. Stay away and save your money

I booked a group of appointments for some of my girlfriends and Blaire was wonderful to work with on the bookings. She was organized, quick and efficient. Their location is clean and tidy. The addition of QR codes for tips was great! Luz did a great job on my up-do. I highly recommend this location!

Although, I had low expectations for anything beyond a blow dry, I was pleasantly surprised that they are also really great stylists. I’ve tried two different stylists and I’m comfortable to try anyone available at this point. I have never been to a salon and felt confident that everyone would do a great job but I feel that way here.

Other than my stylist, the new owners/staff are not friendly. Beware they will charge you 25 dollars if you call to cancel within allotted time. You could call to cancel but it will send you to a text to verify. Regardless, they do not honor that call. They tried to charge me for my friend who couldn’t make it but cancelled. Not acceptable. Had lashes put on. I could have done them myself. Quick over all just not welcoming.

The staff, from the person who answers the phone to the stylist to the cashier are all genuinely upbeat, having accepted the sacred mission of making you look your best. Whether you are in need of pampering or are preparing for your wedding day, this locale has you covered. I particularly want to highlight Jillian, the stylist that I always request. She has had her hands in enough heads of hair to understand the slightly different needs of each of us. I’ve seen her clients as they leave, when I’m entering, and they look great, too! Be warned, she is a part-timer and can only care for so many clients, so book in advance. The professionalism she possesses extends to the way she chats, lets you have quiet time and listens to your requests. She even keeps me up to date on any upcoming specials (Hint: Black Friday blowouts are half off). Overall, a wonderful location, sweet staff and great results. Take the time to look your best. At Blo La Mesa, they make it easy!

So glad I found this spot!! I’m biracial with very curly hair so it’s hard to find someone who knows how to do it and right… Jill is the girl!! I always leave happy and relaxed because her head massages are amazing and my hair looks great!!! Straight, curls or beach waves, she always gets it right. Everyone is super friendly.
