I am so disappointed in the nails that my daughter and I had done yesterday. Our appointment was at 5:45, I was seated at 5:35 and I was out of his chair by 5:55. My daughter went right after me to the same guy and we were both out of the salon at 6:12. My daughter got a full set! I had dip nails, which the guy did not soak off, he ripped them off and filed them down with the machine, he broke every single one of my nails and gave me gel nails. I did not want gel but he broke my nails so short that I guess it only made sense to get gel. My nails are uneven and so are my daughter’s. See the pictures below. I usually go to Jenny who is AMAZING but she was booked and I didn’t think it would be horrible service like this. I even got a manicure which I was only soaked for 2 minutes, no other manicure procedure was done. My nails still hurt today from him ripping my nails off. If I can’t have Jenny do my nails or her sister Holly, I will not be coming here. They are in high demand always because they are the best. I’ve never had Holly do my nails but she was my sister’s nail tech and always had her nails looking superb! My one star is for service received yesterday only! Jenny and Holly are a 10!

Amazing! This experience is the best experience that I have ever had at any nail shop! As soon as my mother and I walked in, Vy greeted us with a warm smile and was so professional, courteous and respectful. She assisted us throughout the entire night. Kate was my amazing nail technician and she was excellent. She took her time with my nails. She gave me the VIP experience right along with my VIP pedicure, Lol, it was fabulous. The attention to details and the time and effort she took in giving me exactly what I asked for, was greatly appreciated. Kate has a gift and an amazing skill. Her free-hand nail designing art is unmatched. Nobody else will touch these hands and feet! I’m a customer for life. I’m in Bliss!

Just had the WORST experience at Bliss with nail tech TINA. DO NOT GO TO HER. She is extremely unprofessional. What was supposed to be a relaxing experience getting my nails done turned out to be everything but! I arrived to the salon in the morning and requested a fill in and pedicure. Tina came over and asked which pedicure I wanted, I said the basic. She asked me what color and I showed her a picture of what I wanted on my fingernails so that the color on my feet would match. She walked me over to her fingernail station to start which I thought was a little out of order but still went with it. From the start I could see she was in a rush. She then told me that the design I wanted would be $30 extra and proceeded to talk me out of it and insisted I get a solid color. I explained I didn’t want solid but she was so pushy I agreed to it. It was clear she wanted to get through me so she could move on to the next person. She hastily finished my nails and told me to have a nice day as she put a warm towel over my hands. I asked was someone else going to do my pedicure and she said “you said you didn’t want a pedicure.” I explained that I requested a fill in and pedicure when I signed in and told Tina herself I would do the basic option. She proceeded to get a nasty attitude and argue that I never asked for a pedicure. Then took me to a pedi station throwing items around and telling me to have a seat. Politely I said “I don’t mind someone else doing my pedicure if you have another client.” She angrily replied “I don’t have another client!” And seemed bothered that I asked for someone else. I told her I’d just go to the front and allow them to figure it out so she could move on. As I walked away I overheard her talking about me in English to another tech in front of customers. When I got to the front the receptionist apologized which I appreciated but I was disgusted by the experience. I’ve been to this salon before and while it is clean and I love the nail tech Lily, I will think twice about returning due to this experience. I am disappointed with my nails and the way I was treated.

Critical: ProfessionalismToday 12/4/2021…. I needed to find a nail salon close to a guest that had traveled here from Texas to minister. I am a native Washingtonian but this area I’m not familiar with so I did some research and booked us both 2:30 pm appts after 11 am today giving the full details of both parties services. I get an over lay without tips added and a spa pedicure. Well as the gentleman came to get me to start my service (pedi) I showed him the one finger I still had saved and asked that my nails remain this length but just with doing an overlay. He said I need tips I said no I don’t get tips and this wasn’t done with tips at this short stage just my very own short nail length. So I was like okay I will more than likely get someone else for my hands but as he began to ask me about the shape for my toes I said short and just make sure they are straight! Look we all know our toe nails grow different ways but as an professional you have to know how to shape them. Once he started the filing I saw the GUMBIE nail coming. To make a longer story short lol Naturally I became the ‘difficult guest’ and nobody wanted to service me as the receptionist said. At least the NEW traveler here got someone that’s GOOD and experienced because I began to ask a guest that was a seat away did she come here often and she said yes and only named 3 ppl that she will even go to and her Mom. Even though this is a major inconvenience for me I can wait MORE days to just go to my regular spot because the heavy set receptionist only solution was for me to wait for the manager WHICH IS OFF TODAY! As my feet were still soaking in the spa. Everyone of the techs refused to provide me service. As a DC Salon owner this was extremely unprofessional the fact that I’m already 42 mins out of an area I’m NOT use too. Critical: Cleanliness, Quality, ValueI have been trying out nail salons in Odenton and must say this was my WORST EXPERIENCE!! I went in for a fill and gel color. The tech added fill but started painting gel color immediately after filling nail? Why I do not know! Usually every nail experience I have had in the last years the tech will have you wash hands without soap before they apply color gel. This tech did not but hey I went with it because she’s the tech and should know what she is doing. In my mind I am sitting there wondering why she started applying gel color and thought to myself maybe this is NEW? I went with it. Look at the results 2 weeks later!! Mind you the gel color peeling process started the day of the application. I am embarrassed and do not recommend this place! I must say that even after 2 weeks when I went to Modern nail spa in Crofton my nails were on point and looked fresh. The tech added fill but started painting gel color immediately after filling nail? Why I do not know! I had the sports pedicure yesterday and it was the worst experience I’ve had. I have been to this location before with no problems but the woman that did my pedicure yesterday was ROUGH my toes hurt so bad and I winced many times during the pedicure. Today I could barely put shoes on, she filed into my toes, she also didn’t shape my nails into the sides, when she grabbed my toes she clawed her long nails into them and she didn’t even remove the prior color fully. I didn’t even let her do nail polish because I wanted to get out of there so fast.

I arrived at 12:41 and the front desk receptionist Hailey working on August 15 advised me it would take 20-25 Minutes for my nails and eyebrows. It is now 1:40 and I still haven’t been see. Receptionist Hailey proceeded to Advise me that scheduled appointments are seen before walk-ins, only after I asked how much longer for my wait?? I have no problem with this protocol however she should have communicated this to me in the beginning. I’m traveling to go out of town for my birthday and I wanted my nails fresh. Had I known this I wouldn’t have waited so long. Very Poor business

The tech significantly overused the electronic file when remove gel and absolutely destroyed my natural nails. I have visible discolorations (which I didn’t find out about until I removed the polish he applied, otherwise I would have said something that day) and significant sensitivity, which I expect won’t go away for months. He also cut my skin twice. When I reached out to talk to the salon about it, I got no response.

I had been going to Bliss Nail Spa in Odenton for a while but then didn’t go for about a year until today. Requested the classic pedicure and a manicure. I did not require any polish on my fingernails. The technician barely exfoliated my legs. In the past, the technicians used to scrub your legs for a couple of minutes. When I went today the technician put the exfoliation cream on my legs rubbed it a couple times and then rinsed it off. I also fell at the store. They asked me to sit in a chair and the chair had rollers and the floor is very slippery so I fell back and they had to help me get up . My technician says that happens all the time, so I’m thinking why not fix the problem. Also my manicure did not have any lotion or hand massage. Later, in my car I called the owner and explained what happened. She says that each technician has a timer and if they go over the timer they have to skimp on the service even though the customer is paying the same price. The owner asked me if I heard the timer go off and I said I did not and even if I did I would not have known what the timer was for. The owner seemed very unsympathetic and even when I told her that I would consider going to another nail place she did not blink an eye. Beware of this place. the owner kept telling me I should have chosen more expensive pedicure than the $37 one because the technician would have more time with me. it irks me that this policy is nowhere in sight so that the customer can either go elsewhere or be okay with getting less service for the same price.
