Love, love, love this place! I started coming here about 6 months ago after having tried out many other salons. They have been wonderful to work with! They always are looking out for the health of my nails as well as the beauty. They are accommodating and friendly. The salons is clean and I will continue to be a regular. I have been looking for a great nail salon for the 1.5 years I have lived here – and now the wait is over! I love nail art, but I also wanted a hard gel manicure (with tip extensions). Weirdly, not lots of people do hard gel here – it is SO much better than acrylic! Destiny did the art on my nails – just how I wanted it and it looks SO gorgeous! Bliss Nail Bar is my go-to spot in Chapel Hill. I have tried over a dozen nail salons since moving here and this place is the best! The staff is kind and considerate. Their polish colors and options are far superior to the other salons. I usually get gel pedicures, gel nails with gel polish, and sometimes a design. I love that they take great care of you when it’s you and a friend (always start at the same time, get seated next to each other etc.). Sometimes you have to wait for your appointment … but I’d rather wait and enjoy a beverage before getting amazing service than go anywhere else.

I am never one to leave bad reviews, but honestly they did a terrible job on my SNS. Literally lasted one week and spent almost $70 with a tip. I came in to fix the poor job and they offered me 10.00 off a $75 gel service. In addition multiple of my nails are lifting. After telling me on the phone that they would be accommodating to my concerns more than likely to replace the set. On top of the poor service they legit had me waiting for 30mins just to tell me that they can only take 10.00 off of the service. I have been getting SNS for over 4 years now so I know what quality looks like! I would not recommend this salon.

Helen did my pedicure. She suggested the cappuccino one. It was the current special. Perfect polishing and lots of little spa touches including a paraffin wax. Louis did a full set to my exact specifications. He checks with you at each point to make sure you like them. He’s a perfectionist and I didn’t need to change anything. I receive compliments everyday. I love this salon.

While the experience of actually getting my nails done was fine (but nothing special), the manicure did not last at all. This picture was taken only TWO DAYS after I paid over $20 to have a professional paint my nails. I opted for a regular manicure (not gel), so I knew that it would not last very long, but to be this destroyed after only 2 days of normal wear-and-tear is unacceptable. Not to mention, the nail artist didn’t even start the polish all the way at the base of my nail. I paint my own nails much better than this, and it lasts a lot longer. Won’t be going back.

I am so sad to say that I had a terrible experience at Bliss today. I was so excited because the place gets rave reviews and I loved the photos I saw. However, I had to repeatedly ask my nail tech to fix things. It almost took two hours and the design does not look like what I asked for. There is lint and bits of my old manicure that weren’t properly removed. I am sad to have to be so negative in a review because I was really looking forward to it.
