I have been to Bliss 3 times within the last month. The first time I had a consult for a halo hair extension. The girl matched my hair to this lightly colored halo (seemed a little light and I expressed hesitation) but ultimately I trusted the professional since I don’t know much about hair. It had been over two months since I had gotten my hair colored so she matched it based a couple inches down from my scalp. The second time I went, I got a haircut and think the girl who did my haircut did wonderful! I also picked up my halo. However, the third time I went, I went to get my hair colored to more match my halo extension that I just spent over $700 on. I was told that I was scheduled between appointments and she wouldn’t have enough time to color my full head, just half and that I would have to come back for another appointment for the rest. I was a little bummed since I’m traveling over an hour for this appointment but then was super bummed when my hair was colored and didn’t match my halo whatsoever. The picture I included is two days after my hair was colored and I’m holding up the $700 halo I was sold. I’m super upset and feel like I just wasted hundreds and hundreds of dollars on this halo and color and can’t even wear the halo because it doesn’t even look like my hair. I don’t even want to go back for another appointment to get the “other half” of my hair colored.

I recently visited this salon for the first time and I must say, I was thoroughly impressed. The salon was clean and well-organized. I was greeted by Maddie Rae who introduced herself and asked about my hair goals. She listened attentively and made recommendations based on my hair type and style preferences. She took the time to explain the process and answered any questions I had. I had a wonderful experience and would definitely recommend it. Maddie was professional, friendly, and truly knew her stuff. I will definitely be returning for my next haircut!

Bliss is amazing, the girls are all always so sweet and welcoming and the whole salon is clean and well-kept. I’ve been going to Julia for a couple years now and she’s amazing. She is great at taking your vision and turning it into reality while being realistic about the whole process. Truly the best hair stylist i’ve ever been to, she works fast and is super talented. Totally recommend coming to Bliss!

I had a great experience here. I just needed a quick, quality haircut and that’s exactly what I got. I have very long, thick hair and it usually takes forever to get it cut and blow dried. Francesca did a great job cutting my hair and drying in under an hour. I could see myself going back here next time. Haircut

I have been coming to Bliss for years, but most specifically for the last year and a half I have been coming to see Julia for my hair extensions and color/glaze. I lived nearby in Shorewood my whole life but moved to Chicago this winter for my job. I continue to drive over an hour back to Bliss to see Julia when I need my hair done not only because I will not let anyone else touch my hair, but I have also never had anything but positive experiences at Bliss. Their team is amazing and are taking on so many awesome endeavors for business growth & outreach!! 10/10 highly recommend.

I’ve been to bliss 3 times now. Every time I’ve had my hair done was by someone different just because I’ve never had a preference. Before they had always did a okay job until Saturday I had gone in with Carmel highlights and wanted to go lighter. I was told that it would be a process and that I would get to a lighter caramel that I was that day. Which I understand because I had gone to cosmetology school myself. The bleaching process bliss did turned out beautiful it wasn’t orange or brassy BUT they admitted to using the wrong toner on my hair so I walked out with darker hair that I had came in with yet alone it was red. Red is impossible to get out and I think anyone who has gotten there hair done knows that hence why the 4 techniques they tried to remove my toner did not work. And because they used so much color removal on my hair they couldn’t even dye it to my natural color because it wouldn’t take. I had gone in with healthy hair that took me a while to get to and come out with dry damaged hair yet alone I got burns on my scalp. I will never in my life come here again or recommend any of my family and friends here as well.

I’ve been coming here for years and have never had a bad experience. Recently, they completely botched my hair cut and left me with an open bald spot and very thin hair. I paid and left, wasn’t going to say anything and then they called me 30 mins later to tell me that part of the payment didn’t go through. When I explained my issue with the haircut, all they said was “I’m sorry, I’ll tell my manager. I’m ready for the card when you are.” Very disappointed, however the manager did call and offered me a refund. She was very nice over the phone and definitely fixed the issue.
