Even the “good” places that you wait weeks and weeks for appointments at have ultimately been letdowns. I walked into Bliss on a whim figuring a cut there couldn’t be any worse than anywhere else I’ve been. The interior of the salon is bright and clean, and just…nice. It feels upscale and trendy without being pretentious or uncomfortable for people just looking for a straightforward quality cut.Stephanie was patient as I interrupted her service with another client and got me scheduled for a cut for the following week. Day of, I arrived a few minutes early and she was already ready to get started. Stephanie thoughtfully asked if I had any allergies to anything, which no stylist has ever done (I don’t expect this, but it was a really nice touch). Best of all? I said what I wanted out of my cut and got exactly what I asked for, for the first time in 10 years (really). As a bonus, Stephanie is just fun to chat with – super friendly and funny.I would have gone back anyway, but here’s what sealed the deal for me: a complimentary bang trim between cuts. Other salons in town either want you to book a whole appointment for a bang trim, or they want to charge $10+ for the service, or both and it ends up terrible every time anyway.
