I moved from Tampa not to long ago and have been going to Ashley Reed at this salon. During my time seeing this stylist I experienced a lack of color experience and resistance for asked style preference for my hair. On my first appt with her I gave her the colors used by stylist in Tampa and received the reply I don’t use these products and I am able to decide what color to use. Should have realized then what I was in for. I explained that my hair pulls very brassy and her reply was I got this. I also explained that to many layers to the bottom of my hair made it very thin, so I was conservative on the layers. All part of getting to know a new client, right? Clearly she didn’t pay attention and a toner was needed every time to tone the brassiness down, which I never needed prior. On several occasions other stylists including the owner were asked for suggestions on color but was not used due to not feeling comfortable doing what was suggested. On my last visit this stylist without talking to me did my bangs and around my face with heavy highlights not matching the rest of my hair which was done in low/high lights (which I prefer). On every appt I needed to explain about how I preferred the shape of my hair (my hair was past my shoulder blades) preferring a V instead of a blunt cut. On my last visit I agreed a couple inches needed to come off to make my hair healthier, although my hair was cut up to my collar with a blunt cut. Also reminders were needed to not put curls in my hair (which is her preference) because mine is fine and doesn’t hold the curl. Even though I was consistent in my wishes for my hair, she became very frustrated to meet my request and upset when asked for color correction. On several appts comments were made by this stylist about being unhappy with other stylists in the salon, how hot is was, and not being able to listen to her kind of music. I am over 60 and have only had 2 stylists with never having an issue of either putting the right color on my hair or learning my likes of what I want for a style. I found this stylist unprofessional and not considerate of my needs for my hair. After another time on Friday of needing color correction due the inconsistent hair color, I recieved a text stating that due to me asking for my hair to be done correctly and color corrections required she would longer keep me as a client. This could have been discussed with me as I had just left there, which at that time I would have told her I would be going to another stylist. I would also suggest that you ask for prices to be text to you due to I was being charged for a haircut which I was not receiving, when confronted it was admitted to. The salon atmosphere was pleasant and clean.

My husband and I had appointments for 1 15 on a Tuesday. When we got there our stylist was outside talking to someone. We waited til like 1 30 and she never came back in the building. There were about 4 other stylist doing hair. Not one of them said anything to us about where our stylist went. They didn’t care either when we just got up and left. Never going back there again.
