always a pleasant experience when I visit. everyone is quite friendly and there’s no pretentious vibe which can sometimes be present in tattoo shops. clean as a whistle, great location with available parking(pay but reasonably priced) and a still pocket friendly hourly rate will keep me coming back.

Black Label is really great! Before I knew it, I have received 3 tattoos from 3 different artist here haha. I have yet to have a bad experience! The place is clean and the artist are nice and helpful. Matt is my favorite so far, he did my back shoulder peice. If you are thinking about getting tatted here go for it! It’s mostly by appointment but walk-ins are accepted if you go in early in the day sometimes. Price range is standard too. There is a lot to choose from in Downtown Frederick but the quality at Black Label is the best in my opinion. Hope this helps!

Black Label is a beautifully decorated, quiet, and clean shop. I set an appointment with Antonio, who was quick to respond and easy to communicate with ahead of time. It was absolutely lovely to be tattooed by him. He was incredibly quick, great about checking in to make sure I was comfortable, and let me take my time in the beginning deciding on the placement of my tattoo. He also let my husband sit with us, which was wonderful. We will both definitely be coming back to get tattooed by Antonio!

Very positive experience at this place in August 2018. I dropped in with a semi-complicated design, and Eric helped me re-draw and modify it to fit exactly what I had in mind. All the artists I met here were friendly, sociable, and very professional, and I quickly felt comfortable and ready to do this tattoo.
