Greg from Black Gold studios is not only an amazing free hand custom tattoo artist but he’s a true gentleman and will treat you just like friend and family. I came in as a stranger and left feeling like a brother. And his tattoo work is one of a kind 🙂 Everything is clean, sterile, professional and you even get to watch TV and pick awesome music Have a great conversation with him. I went in on a Sunday (to my surprise they were open unlike any other tattoo/piercing shop) and I was greeted by staff. I asked if they had time for a walk-in and without hesitation I was brought to a chair. Sol was my artist. He was very professional and took his time making sure my tattoo was exactly what I wanted and where I wanted it. He even suggested a finishing touch that made my tattoo POP and look even better than I planned. He played good music, had good conversation, and made me feel very comfortable being there. It’s so hard to find tattoo artists that actually care about what you want and not change it into their own idea. He knew the significance of my tattoo and how much it meant to me and I couldn’t be more thankful for that!!!! He also informed me about tattoo removal for a tattoo that I want gone, so I will be going back in the near future to do that. I’m also booking a chest piece with him. I would refer anyone and everyone to this shop!!!! Thank you sol, for giving me a tattoo that I love!!!!!!!!

I love this place ! The owner and his wife are truly too kind , my ride flaked on me and they came to pick me up for my piercing and after drop me back off. I got my navel done and I swear I have never had such a gentle piercing and it was done fast. I would highly recommend this shop . This is somebody that knows what they are doing piercing people and it being done correctly .

I had an appointment for 2 weeks to get tattoo removal done. I paid a $100 deposit the day I booked. At the time of booking he Stated he owned the rights to this removal technique on the whole western united states. After calling the CEO of that company, that is not true. After traveling An hour and a half, I showed up for my appointment and he was super rude, said he was “running late” and to call later that day. He had just started a portrait tattoo. I stated I couldn’t come back later. I called to request my deposit back and he stated to me he wasn’t a “vending machine”. the place was so cluttered, you could hardly walk in the small walk areas, and had an odor. Even if he was not rude and unprofessional, I would have been very hesitant to allow him to work on my body. In a small town like this, word of mouth and courtesy goes a long way. I can not stress enough how uneasy this whole thing made me feel. And now I will probably never get my money back. I would not recommend going or giving a deposit to this shop at all. If I get the refund I will update this review.

Called before walking in. Let them know I would be there in about 30min. Called when I got there and waiting 25min with nothing the guy in the back Sol said to just wait up front. Left with out a tattoo as I couldn’t even speak to an artist. Won’t be going back.

I got my nose pierced here a couple days ago, being that it was my second time getting re-pierced (from a different place long ago). I had an incredible comfortable experience. And the healing is going very well. Greg was so friendly and such a gentle piercer he is very experienced and went above and beyond to make sure the process and after care went smooth. The atompshere of the shop is friendly and laid back, very sanitary and professional. I even got to see some of the artists phenomenal tattoo work. I would greatly reccomend this place to anyone looking to get piercings or tattoos.

Greg never disappoints me! Both times I’ve went to him with something he’s never done before and he went above and beyond to make it happen and make sure I loved it. I’m so thankful to have him doing my memorial sleeve!! There is also Shawn and dirk who work at the shop who also do great work. All 3 artists had clients lined up waiting. The shop is very clean and looks amazing. They also sell clothing, swim suits, stickers, and lanyards. Along with different piercing stuff!! I love black gold!!!

Greg is by far the best tat artist I’ve had for my ink therapy!! He has done tats for both my daughter & I. His vision, his personality, & his care for his customers is top shelf!! This guy fixed a tat on my neck, as well as turning it into a tribute to my son. His 3-D work is phenomenal!! Found my ink therapist for all my body art!!
