Black Cat Barbershop oozes atmosphere, has friendly staff, and, in my opinion, did a fine job on my hair. I only wish I had let them know about all the services I needed (such as having my beard serviced). My advice is using their app to set up an appointment, and inform the shop of which services that you will need, because they are a very busy shop. This is why: the haircut and beard trim takes about an hour, and coming in as a walk-in could find that you may not have all services provided due to the way that the shop is booked (which is what happened to me). It was an otherwise good experience as my haircut turned out well. Recommended.

I got my hair trimmed and got bangs with Justine and she was great! Listened super closely to everything I wanted and the execution was perfect. I showed her my reference pictures (of Florence Pugh) and I can confidently say my bangs look exactly like hers. Not only was the haircut great but so was the environment and prices. Will definitely be back!

This place is a gem in the neighborhood. I have been to at least 5 different people here and have genuinely enjoyed the cut and conversation. I go to whoever fits my schedule because I know they all do a great job. They are all very professional and detail oriented I would recommend this to anyone looking to get a hair cut, Beard trim, etc

First off. Beard looks good. But idk man. I don’t think I was cool enough for this shop. Looking for a new barber, my partner booked this appointment for a hair trim and a beard trim as a early Xmas present. Never been here. When I got in the dude couldn’t have looked more bummed to see that I was his next client. He told me he didn’t do long hair but he could still do my beard. I said no stress, bet. He rushed thru my beard trim and while it does look good man it was j really uncomfortable and awkward. I tried some small talk and he wouldn’t even respond to me. Talking to homie was like pulling teeth. Whole vibe felt really cooler then you and off-putting, bummed. Not trynna review bomb but this experience j left me feeling off the rest of the day. It was a Christmas present, I feel like I should have left feeling at least good. :/ maybe he j had an off day or maybe you j gotta be freinds w the barbers or j look like that crowd. Idk.

it is a shame only after planning to move from Cleveland did i get recommended to head to Black Cat. the shop vibes are friendly and welcoming for everyone, the barbers as far as i can tell all very passionate and competent at what they do, and getting in for an appointment easy and efficient online.

First time I went there I did my homework and showed Justine a picture of what I wanted and she did a good job. Second time, went without a picture and wished for something fun and flattering, but end up with a haircut that makes me look I am one week away from having a mental breakdown. Not a good place for creativity I guess ?!
