I looked everywhere for a good hair cut when I moved to AZ. I eventually came across this place and took a chance. I’ve had a few different stylists, but they’ve all done a great job. I’m really happy with my hair every time.

After having my hair done here in the past, I thought it would be a great place to take my daughter, and it was…keyword being WAS. My daughter has had her hair cut here several times without issue over the past few years. Previously, the stylist was amazing (but apparently no longer works there – maybe because she was nice and did a good job), so my daughter was VERY excited to go in to get her hair cut. I admit, my daughter has very long, curly and rather unruly hair. We have spent a great deal of money on both cuts and products for her, including at this salon. She recently wanted it cut a lot shorter, so we scheduled a shampoo and cut at Billies & Betties with a different hairdresser. I did not wash her hair before going and she had just got out of school, so it was a bit tangled.

The salon was very nice, clean and quiet. The girl Melanie who did my hair was very sweet and patient with me as I came with a broad idea (just wanted a pixie perm). Giving it a 3.5 out of 5 as I still haven’t tried their nail services or haven’t gotten a color service.

The last time I went to a hair salon was in October 2020 and I was very nervous to go back. My hair was super long and I just wanted layers and bangs. The length I asked to be midway my breasts. Unfortunately I got my hair shampooed – my hair is curly wavy and it definitely influenced the outcome of my haircut. My hair was a lot shorter than I had anticipated. The length was above my breasts and the layers are not really visible. My hair just looks short in my opinion. My bangs are a bit of a mess. Thankfully my hair does grow fast but I can’t get too confident on that. It takes lots of special care and work to get long hair. I used to love B&B but after this experience, I’m very hesitant to return. I think B&B is a great place if you really want short hair but that’s it. They always cut your beautiful thick wavy locks despite telling them the inches. Tip: don’t get your hair shampooed if you have thick wavy curly hair. Don’t tell them how many inches to cut off if you still want long hair. Speak up if you notice something is off.

Sarah and the girls are fantastic! This is a bilingual shop who truly listens to what your looking for and honest with you on what can be done. I’ve been to shops where they will do anything you ask, but after you’ve damaged your hair, the blame is yours for asking for that service. I respect a professional who will say no to protect you and also lose money by refusing the service.
