If I could rate 0 stars, I would. I’m looking for a new salon and tried this one and it was terrible! I wanted an 80s perm and when I showed the ladies that work here some pictures of how I wanted my hair, one of them went, ‘how ugly!’ and started laughing and told me to show the other lady who also started laughing. Really? I know 80s-style perm is not really ‘in fashion’ right now, but if that’s what I want and I’m paying for it, that’s all that should matter. Then I was asked if I use Pantene. I said yes, occassionally and suddenly, they said they can’t do it and were suddenly saying my hair is ‘too fragile’ and ‘obviously damaged’ and they can’t do the perm and as if to prove it, they started grabbing and tugging at my hair including individual pieces and ripped some out! I was beyond upset and close to tears and left. If they didn’t want to do the perm, that’s all they had to say. There was no need to be so mean and ugly about it.

The owner, Ming, has been cutting hair for 22 years. She’s got steady hands and knows her way around a man’s hair. Would definitely be going again when my next cut is due. It’s very reasonably priced as well, cheaper than others salons without a compromise on quality.
