So I came in asking for goddess braids. They tied the hair onto each other and if they didn’t know how to do they should of said something. After two hours of wearing them the tied in pieces started to fall out. I gathered them in a bag and went back to them. They put them back in took about 20 min I checked my hair and they had put got 2b glue in my hair to hold the pieces. Now if you’ve had braids you know this is wrong plus I’ve had these braids done somewhere else but I was on vacation here. I had told them I needed them to hold and when I go swimming got 2b comes out I’ve used it before. They stated that I should of told them I was going swimming but why braids should stay in anyways. 3 days later and it’s coming out again would not recommend this place or at least the person who did it. My sister got it done by a different hairdresser and hers is fine. Also when I came back with the glue in my hair it took them another 20 min to fix it all.

I wouldn’t normally leave a review, I would just no lounger patronize the business…but others should be aware…Do Not Book an appointment if you value your time. On two separate occasions I’ve booked an appointment that they did not honor. With the first incident the appointment was at 10am I arrived at 9:50 and they said to come back in 3hrs they had a call out, I was disappointed but understood, it happens. With the second and last incident the appointment was at 5:30pm, I arrived at 5:20 and they were not there. I called and she simply stated, “I’ve already left for the day” as if my time isn’t valuable. Down right unprofessional and inconsiderate.

I really wished I would’ve taken pictures of my hair before posting this review! I do not recommend getting your hair braided here. I’ve come before which is why I decided to give them another try! I had no problem the first time. The lady literally looked at my hair before braiding.. grabbed it and all before she started braiding and not once did she say my hair was too short. The mai reason I came to the Africans is because they can braid short hair. She braided the top and finished but once it was time for the back she said “if I’d known it was this short I would’ve told you I can not do” but you literally ran your fingers through my head before you started to braid!! She finished my head but i felt as if she were rushing!! My braids were not even tight even to last. The next day the started to fall out! I noticed how some of them were braided at the root poorly and not twisted all the way down. She charged me for mid back length but some of them were shorter than others! She rushed through my head and just didn’t even try. I’m a braider so I know short hair can be braided! I just don’t think she knows how to do it!Braids were falling off day by day and just decided to pull them out because I could literally do just that! I will not be going back here what so ever! 0/10 I got Senegalese twist

Critical: Cleanliness, ProfessionalismI got my 5 year old son hair braided here for the first time. I came in asked the lady if she could just braid it back no style nothing fancy and she said sure then asked how much it was going to be and she responded with oh it will be nothing really. My son only has hair on the top of his head so it did not even take her 5 minutes to braid 5 braids. So when I went to pay and she told me it was $30 dollars for 5 braids that didn’t take 5 minutes you can understand how upset I was because I still need to go next door to get him a hair cut. I will never go back to them. Their suit was nasty and had a 3 year old running around the little time I was there.
