I’m Bernadette, owner of Bernadette Bickel Hair Studio. I am a Bucks County Stylist who specializes in Curly Hair and color. I’m certified in Rezo, Ouidad, Daze Curl and Forever Curls cutting & coloring techniques for curly hair. I recently added a stylist to my team and she also specializes in curly hair. Together, Carmela and I are going to do some beautiful work. I love music and DIY projects and I’m constantly working on my home. I am married with 3 awesome kids, a dog and 2 lizards. I love what I do and I can’t wait to meet you!!!

I had no idea just how amazing my curls and waves could be! I went for a haircut and assumed I had waves, but with Bernadette she was able to uncover a whole new aspect of my hair I was unaware of. She gave me a beautiful cut and showed me all the curl potential I had, as well as tips on how to style and product advice. If you’re looking for a curly hair specialist, she is definitely the one! There might be a bit of a wait for an appointment because she books up fast, but WOW is she worth it!!!! Super knowledgeable, very friendly, surprisingly fast for a curl cut, and my hair looks better and healthier than it has in years. She’s now my go-to after only one cut, and gave me some wonderful advice on how to style my curls and what products will work best on my hair. Seriously, book her! She was able to keep a lot of my length despite how damaged my ends were too, which is always a huge bonus.

I had such an amazing experience with Bernadette at her studio! I left her studio loving my curls for the first time! She gave me tips and tricks and a styling lesson on how to elongate my curls and how to properly apply product to get the results I want. This is the first time I’ve had a curly hair cut that I actually loved when the stylist truly listened to my concerns and what I wanted. Highly recommend!! After three other curly cuts – with three different stylists – that I was unhappy with I wanted to give a curly cut one more try before going back to a “regular” haircut. I searched online and found Bernadette…I’m so glad that I didn’t give up. My first cut and color was a couple of months ago (forgot to leave a review after that appointment) and I just had my second cut and color. I was beyond happy with both:) My drive to the salon (which is very cozy) is over an hour each way but it is so worth it. Besides being very talented and knowledgeable, Bernadette is super friendly and personable…and so is Carmella. She explains everything she is doing and won’t hesitate to answer any question. My hair seems so much healthier…thank you!

Bernadette was very attentive, generous and helpful. It was my first time at a salon that specializes in curly cuts (I’ve been to other salons and always ended up with not-so-great haircuts). This was my first curly cut ever. Bernadette was super friendly and personable and made it a great experience. What I appreciated most was the walkthrough of the styling process after the cut. There are so many products on the market now and so many curl strategies on social media it’s hard to even figure out where to start. Bernadette walked me through the process with multiple products and let me know how I could simplify certain steps/omit certain products for a quicker style when needed. I’m about 3 weeks from my cut and I am getting the styling process down to about 10 minutes (air drying). I also loved the products Bernadette used. They were super affordable, and she also didn’t push any products on me at all which has always been something that’s made me uncomfortable at salons.

When you won’t trust your curls to just anyone, you need Bernadette! She is an expert in YOUR curls. She knows multiple curly cut/styling techniques so she can customize your cut for you. I’ve been in for full cuts and maintenance trims- worth every penny! Plus, Bernadette and Carmela are so fun and make you feel so comfortable! Highly recommend for my curly girls!
