My baby shower was hosted in the event space of Benji Salon, and it was lovely! A large and versatile space(enough for 40+ people to comfortably fit). Chic and comfortable, while also neutral enough to decorate with individual flare per party. 10/10 would recommend!

I live nearby and drive by all the time. I finally had time to stop and get a gel manicure with Alma for a work holiday party. It’s gorgeous inside and everyone was really great and friendly but still laid back. Alma did a wonderful job on my nails which is a feat as my hands are usually pretty rough from work and bouldering. Prices are higher than some nail salons but worth it.

I have visited a handful of salons in the Grand Rapids area & could not find a stylist that was right for me. I drive by a salon & spa that had recently opened so I decided to try my luck there. I called & requested the stylist that cuts the best short hair on women & she knew exactly who to place me with. Amanda is amazing! Our personalities clicked & she gave me an awesome cut! The salon is beautiful & I received the best shampoo with scalp massage, I almost felt like that should have been an extra charge it was so amazing!! If you are looking for an edgy short hair style call Amanda, or call the desk & tell them what you want & they’ll match you with a great stylist!

I went to this salon in the past month and first off, it’s absolutely gorgeous inside and out. However, The hair treatment I received was so overpriced and hardly any change from what I walked in with. I went in there looking for my hair to be lightened more then it already was. I called over the phone to book my appointment and explain what exactly I needed and was setup for an appointment for a full balayage. I have a daughter that is currently in cosmetology school and I have been a “model” for her several times. So my hair needed a “real” color treatment. I thought I was clear about blending in my dark roots with the lighter parts for a more Balayage look (plus that is what the appointment was for), but I just got more highlights. I also was very upfront about the brass my hair picks up, and was told that should be able to be toned down. It was not. I know I should have said I was dissatisfied at the time, but I was headed on vacation and was trying to not let it get to me. My end goal has always been to have my darker roots and gray/platinum blend in more. I cannot seem to get it to that level and this appointment that I so looked forward too, was so disappointing. I also felt very rushed in the appointment like she couldn’t get me out of there fast enough. Since it was the holidays, I paid, gave a tip, and left very disappointed and out more than $200. I want you to understand that I have paid that price and more many many times at other salons. Unfortunately this time, I did not get what I paid for.
