I’m so confused. I showed up at 6:30. Rye is completely out of my way but I wanted to get a gift card for a friend. The front door was locked but two girls in the back of the store chatting it up. As I walked to my car I checked online for the hours and thought “oh maybe I didn’t open the door right” so I went back. The girl came into view to tell me closed?? Website says 8, google my business says 8, door said 7…it was 6:30?

I can’t believe how unprofessional this place is. I booked my appointment three weeks before the event just to have them cancel my makeup appointment 20 hours before I was scheduled to arrive. They sent this notice via email — I mean at least call and offer some help or a solution since it was less than a 24 hours notice! Luckily I checked immediately and gave them a call to see why — not that calling helped much at all.

Guys .. I came out of the store looking like this The beautician actually covered it up with brow pen and let me leave without saying a thing. Until I later on realized it looked like that. Sneaky and unprofessional. Worst experience with my eyebrows getting waxed. Never expected this to happen from a place like this. I want to add that they did refund me but it doesn’t take away how uncomfortable and horrified I am.

It’s always a pleasure visiting the Benefit Brow Bar in Rye. Everyone there is friendly and helpful and their aestheticians are terrific. They never try to over sell you, but have great advice as to how to keep the look they just created. Love their products, especially the slant brow pencil and the magnetic mascara is amazing. Definitely worth a visit.
