I received a hair color and cut last night at Bella’s Luca by Kelly and it was THE BEST experience at a salon that I have ever had for so many reasons! Kelly is thorough, patient, relatable and super honest and straight up about the risks (I have put my hair through hell in my life.) she went the extra mile and then 100 more to ensure my hair and I were safe- she was super cautious and attentive. That’s just the bedside manner …. Her skills are off the chain!!! I have been waiting for years and years to get this color and she knocked it out of the park! It’s everything I wanted and more. I have gotten non-stop compliments.

It’s been years since they’d worked on my hair. Coloring was perfect. Anyone who saw it said wow! Your hair still has those amazing copper glints.. asked me how I’m so lucky to not be fighting the grays.. I told them.. spend a couple hundies. You’ll be amazed as well. Bella Luca, ladies! 3 weeks later, went for a trim. Didn’t get the layers right. Still.. better than when I do it. So only a smidge dissatisfied

I have been going to Bella Luca since early 2018 and have typically had good experiences. A few months ago, I went for a routine root touch up and left with my hair completely broken off all along my part line. I did not complain at the time because I honestly didn’t realize the extent of what had happened to me until I had gotten home. I had changed stylists and gone back for a follow up 7 weeks later just recently, and the new stylist was shocked at what had happened to my hair, as it was clearly a product of severe bleach overlap. The owner of the salon refused to even acknowledge or speak to me as I had “waited too long.” To me, this is poor business practice because even the new stylist made comments that this was one of the worst hair scenarios she had ever seen. I was not looking for monetary reimbursement, I simply wanted the owner of this salon to know what had happened to one of her clients. Perhaps maybe an intensive treatment to help prevent further breakage. If I owned this business, I’d want to know because there’s an obvious training need happening in her salon. Now, I am looking at several years ahead of me before my hair grows back and it has been debilitating to my self confidence. Very poor handling of this situation and horrifying that this kind of thing goes on in this salon unaddressed and unacknowledged. Buyer beware. Some of the stylists there are amazing. Obviously, however, even the owner doesn’t care what happens to Bella Luca clients if she refuses to acknowledge concerns as they are brought forward. If I have a way to post a picture to this review I absolutely will, as I think future customers deserve to know what happened and make an informed decision about seeking services here.

Critical: Professionalism, PunctualityI used to love this place as it was a great place to get haircuts but the last year they have really gone down hill. They cancelled one of our appointments and said they would call to reschedule. After hearing nothing for three weeks we called and rescheduled, a week later they cancelled and rescheduled those appointments. Today after I called and confirmed our appointment, they called 5 minutes before our scheduled appointment when we were in the parking lot to cancel the appointment. Critical: Professionalism, QualityI visited the salon in November. Kelly (the owner) did my hair. I asked for highlights and low lights with some strands of red. She gave me a red to blonde ombre instead, and even that was uneven and super unblended. During the service she had me fold my own foils as well. I showed her pictures before she started working on my hair. we went over the color options and then did my hair how she felt like it. The entire time she was in a rush it felt like. I went back to the salon the day after to communicate my concerns. She told me that this was what I asked for. she pointed the blame at me and said that I would have to pay to get it fixed. I ended up paying almost $100 over what I was quoted!! I walked away frustrated and in awe that she is the OWNER and was SUPER unprofessional. I went to Bella Luca for a hair cut/style today (second time I’ve been here since moving to Eagle River). Just like the first visit, my experience was wonderful. The owner and staff were very pleasant and knowledgeable. I felt very comfortable and at home here. I loved the hair cut and whole experience and I highly recommend going here. They are also reasonably priced for their services and are very competitive with their product pricing. If there is a product you want, they can order it for you and call you when it comes in.

I have a very small child(15m) and was trying to find the best place to go get his haircut. I posted on a mommies page looking for recommendations and 3 people pointed me to Bella Luca! Sierra cut my sons hair and was sooo patient. You could tell they are experienced with young ones which was most important to me! Abby did my hair at the same time and did a fantastic job. Only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is because the address listed on Google brought me to the old location and I had to call to get the directions. Please update! will be coming back

I love my stylist Emma!!! Who knows what my hair would look like if not for her. She has talked me off some ledges! She is honest and professional. She has taken me from blond, to red, to black now grey. There is always someone to greet you with a smile and a cup of tea. I just love Bella Luca and Emma!

We have gone to this salon before and had wonderful experiences but today was horrible. We made an appointment a week before and they even called to remind us of the 3 appointments. We arrived early and they took the first one back. Then they just made us sit there for 30 minutes and ignored the fact that we we’re waiting. I finally got frustrated and decided to just pay for the first hair cut and leave. Even then they didn’t apologize they just said that there was over lapping appointments. So now 2 of us can’t get hair cuts because there is no where else in town that can take us a 4 on a Saturday afternoon. I felt very disrespected and they didn’t even seem to really care that they screwed us over.
