Rosa did an amazing job recommending what colors she thought would look good on me. She used great care and respectfully talked me through her plan of base color and highlights. She listened to my concerns, wants, and needs. You can tell she loves what she does and always gets so excited about the finished product. She’s a color genius! Critical: Professionalism, Quality, ValueA hair salon is a sacred place for women, we go to the hair salon to change up our looks and to spend our hard-earned money to treat ourselves. I have never in my life felt so betrayed and scammed by a service in my life.I went to Bella Donna salon in hopes to get a new look and came in extremely excited after having a consultation prior with Marcela. I showed her a photo that matched my hair and style as I had seen on their Instagram page heavily advertised balayage so I trusted that they could perform this service. I’m a very low-maintenance girl and I wanted a color that I did not have to upkeep. A balayage by definition is a technique for highlighting hair in which the dye is painted on in such a way as to create a graduated, natural-looking effect.This is not what was done to my hair.My hair was highlighted in a very bright blonde color, nothing like the photo that was consulted with Marcela and up to the roots. I thought maybe give it a day to settle and didn’t stress- until I woke up the day after my service with over-processed hair, with a color that was too blonde and extreme itchiness in the scalp/ears.In Good Faith, I went back to Bella Donna and explained the issue to give them the chance to make it right, I asked if they could make it less blonde and fix the over-processed texture. Marcela put a toner in my hair to tone down the blonde and then an intense oil treatment to fix the over-processing done to my hair.Well, within 3 washes, the toner has now disappeared from my hair and now I have 3-4 different colors in my hair and it is completely damaged by the bleach or from the solutions she used to “fix” my concerns. The absolute worst part is that my scalp has chemical burns that are extremely painful from the services. I have not been able to sleep at night or sit still due to these burns. They have blistered over into painful bumps that are oozing liquid and I have strands of hair falling out of my scalp.They also charged me $50 to reserve my appointment that should have been included in the total price of the service but charged me in full without taking that deposit into the total.Not only did I overpay to ruin my hair but they literally robbed me.A hair salon should be a sacred place where a woman can go feel good about herself and treat herself. Instead, I paid over $400 to ruin my hair and get physical damage done to my scalp.
