I was surprised by my experience at Beleza. I had seen a lot of great reviews which is why I booked an appointment. I was a first time customer who needed an underarm wax for a pool party the next day. The receptionist was not overly welcoming and I wasn’t asked to fill out any paperwork as a first time customer like other places I’ve experienced. I was taken into a room that was open at the top. We could hear conversation from the reception area and my attendant was joining in the conversation so my experience did not feel private. The waxing itself was not thorough. After I felt sticky like I still had wax in my armpits, I had to go in with tweezers myself because the area was not cleaned all the way. When the attendant did go in with tweezers she was not gentle and was pinching my skin. This could have been a one off experience but I will not be returning to this waxing salon.

Calm, clean and comfortable. Finding a new place for a Brazilian can be daunting but I felt instantly at ease when I walked into Beleza. James was at the front desk when I arrived; he was friendly, warm, and professional. I had arrived about 10 minutes early for my appointment and he kept me entertained while I waited. Tara finished with her previous client and got me into the room right on time. She was so friendly and fun to talk to that it didn’t feel like my first appointment with her. She did a fantastic job on both my eyebrows and Brazilian wax. I love the sugar wax she used, too! I will definitely go back!

My goodness is she good! I am not sure how she does it but she manages to be personable, fast, thorough & she does all that AND it doesn’t hurt AT ALL..even in the most sensitive areas. SHE IS AMAZING! Her spa is comfortable and always clean. I look forward to my appointments, not just for the service but also for the conversation. I always leave there smiling. She never fails to impress me.

I love coming here for all of my waxing services, Brazilian, underarms, and eyebrows. I recently started getting my brow done here and they looked so goooood idk what she does but they are perfect to me. I go for a clean, full, natural look and she nailed it. The sugar waxing they do here is magical. I’ve gone to one other place bc they didn’t have availablity that fit my schedule and never again. The wax they used hurt so much more and so did their techniques. I also didn’t feel comfortable with the staff. Soooo I always make sure to book a few weeks before I need my next wax so I have an appointment that works with my schedule C: I highly recommend and the prices are right, trust me you wanna go here. Been going here for 5 years now!

Tara is the best! I tried multiple spots around San Diego and just felt blah about my experiences but after my first appointment with Tara (4 years ago!) I found my home ☺️ She makes the whole process quick and as comfortable as can be. Scheduling is easy peasy, prices are totally affordable and you earn a free Brazilian after 10 visits. You won’t regret it!
