Critical: QualityCame in for a 75 min facial with dermaplaning included that I bought off Groupon for $54. To be honest for that price I didn’t really have high expectations for a 75 min facial, I knew it was too good to be true. The over all experience was just ok. Nothing more. The Aesthetician was really kind. But not really sure how knowledgeable or experienced she was since this facial was probably the worst I’ve had. The only really great part was the neck/shoulder massage. When it came to the dermaplaining it was pretty horrible. I have done my own dermaplaning at home but never included it in a facial appointment, I figured I would in this one since I was already buying the facial package thinking, how bad could it be? Well it was actually done pretty poorly. She ended up snagging/cutting my skin (pictures shown below) as she was doing it and during the process I could tell it was a dull razor with just the way it wasnt smoothly gliding on my skin. Plus after she did the dermaplaning I felt a burning/ irritation in my chin area. Sure enough when I got home the spots that felt tender and had a slight burning sensation were definitely snagged with the razor. Now I didn’t really ask what kind of razor/blade she used to do the dermaplaning, trusting that since it was a spa it would have good quality tools but I should have known better with buying it on Groupon for such a cheap price everything wouldn’t be up to par like usual spas. They also called me saying they were running late 10 mins so that way I would show up later and avoid waiting there which I do appreciate, but also if it wasn’t a holiday weekend I’m not sure I wouldn’t like things getting pushed back and being notified 20 mins before hand. I wouldn’t personally recommend the dermaplaning at all but maybe their other services are better. Most likely will not be returning even though they were nice and friendly.
