Positive: Cleanliness, Professionalism, Punctuality, Quality, ValueTameka established my sisterlocks and has maintained them for quite some time now. I would not let another loctician touch my hair at this point. I told her that she cannot retire or move because she is just that amazing, and my hair needs her!Her grid is super precise and her hands move so fast. That’s another reason she gets five stars, because I can’t spend all day in a shop. She moves at twice or 3 times the speed of other locticians I have watched. She has my hair full and thriving, and she always educates me on my own hair. I was washing it wrong, and right away, she could tell and guided me on how to rectify the problem.She maintains a comfortable environment in her shop. It’s always clean and organized. She sanitizes the chair and tools before she even lets you sit down. She puts on the TV or music for the client. Her focus is never elsewhere. If she takes a call, it’s business and it’s quick. She is not on the phone gossiping and there’s never people hanging around talking to her.Twice I had to move my appointment last minute for funerals, and she found me other time slots. I called almost in tears because the booking site had no other availability, and she was like, “Let me see what I can do.” Both times, she accommodated me. We just communicate well. If I’m running 5 minutes late, I text her and she’s always gracious and understanding. If she’s running 5 minutes late, I’m intelligent enough to know that she is human, that another client may have been late and pushed her entire schedule back.I honestly just love her skill, her expertise, her positive attitude, and how she genuinely wants the client to be completely satisfied. Critical: ProfessionalismI booked as a transfer client as I moved here from out of state, followed this stylist’s work on Instagram. I went to the website for information regarding booking an appointment and was referred to boosky. As you can see, I booked my appointment for September in July and it was confirmed on July 23rd. I received a call from Tameka on the morning of my appointment on Sep 10th and she stated that she is no longer accepting new clients and was unwilling to accommodate me although this was clearly a mistake on her part. She obviously did not review her books in advance. I booked as a transfer client as I moved here from out of state, followed this stylist’s work on Instagram. I went to the website for information regarding booking an appointment and was referred to boosky. As you can see, I booked my appointment for September in July and it was confirmed on July 23rd.
