Don’t come to this store on December 8, 2022. I was buying hair for braiding. I went to check out, so when I asked the lady to process my credit, she asked for my ID, and I didn’t have it on me. I have shopped at this store before, and I never have been asked for my ID because the nice Asian lady always checks me out. I recently went to the store on December 6, 2022. So today, on December 8, 2022, this new Spanish lady check me out and ask for ID. I did not have it on me, so I asked to speak to the manager. When the Asian man with blue on his face, who is like a supervisor, came up to me, he came across as rude and disrespectful for no reason. I stay positive. He called me by my pronoun on purpose. The cashier lady wasn’t disrespectful; she did her job, but the Asian men in blue came off as disrespectful. Being black and Asian, both cultures have taught me about respect, so when I said I’m Asian and black, both sides teach respect for each other. When the man said, “Oh, I’m from South Africa, trying to be funny,” I talked to the store manager right away, and he did nothing about it. It’s sad that I had to drive 20 to 30 minutes to get braiding because I don’t live in a black area where there’s no beauty store to deal with this. I would never come back here, and this is my last time coming here. If I were you, I would support businesses where people are disrespectful to each other for no reason without even saying the word “disrespectful.”
