Beauty Plus Braiding Studio

Critical: Professionalism, QualityI don’t usually leave bad reviews and I actually held off on this one, even though my experience was horrible. First, I was misquoted the price by the owner over the phone. Then when I got to the studio, the braiders did not agree with the price the owner quoted and I had to literally argue with one braider about what I wanted and the price I was quoted for it. Second, another client came in for her scheduled appointment, and the two braiders braiding my hair began to argue about who was going to start her hair. After the customer waiting and nobody touching her hair, she left. Third, I notice major inconsistencies in the braid size and parting in the back of my hair and front. They back of my hair is bigger and has no pattern at all. The front was parted with a clip and the braids were waay to heavy for the portion of hair and it is breaking off. I cant put it up because the back is not parted correctly and there is not enough braids. Its horrible for what I paid and they were very unprofessional! The owner was not there and she left her business in the hands of people who dont care. The pic is to show the parting. The front is smaller and much fuller. It looks like two different braiders. Keep in mind the braids are over a month old so they dont look fresh. But the parting is still the same! I don’t usually leave bad reviews and I actually held off on this one, even though my experience was horrible. First, I was misquoted the price by the owner over the phone. Then when I got to the studio, the braiders did not agree with the price the owner quoted and I had to literally argue with one braider about what I wanted and the price I was quoted for it. Positive: Quality, ValueThe owner is very customer service oriented. If you have any concerns, she’s the one to speak with. Other than that, it’s your typical African braid studio. If you’re particular, you should know that there were lots of hands in multiple heads without washing them before moving from customer to customer and no social distancing. They also provide make-up services but I noticed upon walking in early this Morning that the make-up is not covered, but left open and this gives me reason to pause being that I’m a Licensed Esthetitian. My daughter also witnessed inconsistency with pricing as she was sitting there. Someone called to price the very service she was getting and was quoted a higher price. If you’re particular, you should know that there were lots of hands in multiple heads without washing them before moving from customer to customer and no social distancing. I don’t normally write reviews but getting my hair done here was never a regret but rather,I will be back there soon. Their braids are so neat, the place is extremely clean and well decorated. Their braids are so neat, the place is extremely clean and well decorated. The owner/boss handle this business so good! The braiders so professional, respectful and friendly.

Critical: Quality, ValueI was expecting a no knot braid. I was told because my hair in the back was thicker then the front is why the actual braid looked like it did. The Braider was very pleasant but lacked the experience. I had one person that braided the back and another on the front. Two different braids. I had to have the braids in the front done over elsewhere. Second picture is what a knotless braid should look like. Which was done at another salon. Nothing at all to do with hair thickness. The shop is very busy and loud. Gospel music played the entire time very loud. If you want a relaxing environment while your are paying a few hundred dollars to get your hair done that will not happen. Some kids came in and they turned cartoons on. So both TV and music playing very loud I thought my head would explode. I was very disappointed with my outcome, but I must say everyone had smiles and treated me well. My hair in the front was horribly done. After I called back the owner offered a discount on my next service which was appreciated but I wouldn’t go back. I posted two pictures the first picture has my finger holding the horrible braid the second picture was done by someone else not Beauty Plus Braiding Studio.
