If you ever saw the movie Steel Magnolias and loved it this these are your people! They offer all modern salon services in a laid back…way back style that is reminiscent of a sweeter time. The stories from the locals are awesome….even a local historian gives a talk while in the salon chair that has folks hanging around to hear about “way back when”. The owner is kinda Johnny Cash meets Stevie Nicks and the “head chair” is a glamorous sweetheart who reminds me of a rockstar/ Marilyn Monroe.

I walked into this salon to make an appointment and the employees and or owner? Just ignored me. After ten minutes I gave up . I then received a welcome to Tellico card that included a free cut and style so I called and set an appointment. For my daughter. They said they had availability for my teenager at 9am. We arrived to a young don’t know if she was our designer or a helper. I told her they sent a a large card invitation to a cut and style. And I’m here for my daughter’s 9am. But while in the unpacking I’ve misplaced it. But I have my previous license and new address and they obviously had since mailing me the promo. She said no you must have it in your hand and you can go talk to (her) ?ownet? she’s outside. I walked to side of building to a woman smoking with her feet up on a table . Not what seemed like a business owner preparing for an 9am new resident appointment. She said she maybe could work something out next week in a rude an strange manner. I said I won’t be back here this is ridiculous. My daughter was sad and now still looking for a place.

I’ve been visiting Beauty For Ashes since we moved to East TN, about 1.5 years ago and these ladies are amazing! Lauren & Kathy have both given me haircuts and color and I’ve been extremely happy, both times! I love going to this shop, very relaxing and everyone is extremely helpful and so kind! Also, I meet some of the nicest people in the shop, every time I visit. Thank you so much ladies, I’ll definitely be back!

Critical: ProfessionalismI made an appointment online just as I did for my first visit. My first experience was great. Kathy did a phenomenal job. This time, I was passed off to someone else after booking an appt with Kathy. This lady did not know about the change, and when she was cutting my hair she was very upset and kept making remarks about how they “never tell her a gosh-dang thing.” I was so tense the whole time. She rushed through my cut. Her next appointment arrived minutes after she started. My hair is awful, and I am currently looking for a new stylist to fix this mess..if it can be. I am a single mom, and going to the salon is a treat for myself. So disappointed.
