I don’t frequently give reviews, but I am just so thankful for finding Shyla; it would be a disservice if I did not let other’s know the talent we have right here in Yuba City. I have never dyed my hair before because 1. I was scared somebody would mess it up and make me look trashy and 2. I am not the best at maintaining things and figured I’d end up letting my roots grow out and look trashy regardless. Shyla came very highly recommended, so I took a leap of faith and boy am I glad I did. Prior to dying it, she consulted with me and showed me pictures of the best options that wouldn’t make it obvious if I procrastinated with getting a touch up… then BOOM! She matched the picture I picked exactly. In addition to tailoring her work to my expressed needs, she also considered my actual hair and colored it in a way which gave my thinner hair some much needed dimension (I didn’t even know that was possible!) It’s been several weeks and I still get excited every time I look in the mirror to do my hair. Shyla could seriously work in LA for celebrities… Very highly recommend!

Shyla took my hair, which was dyed red over a year ago at what I though to be a decent salon but with low quality products and fried my hair. It was dry, it’s thin so it broke and lost a lot of length, I couldn’t straighten it or it fell out so I didn’t touch it. It faded my light brown hair to a miserable ombre I hated, on nights out or good days my hair had to be up. Now my hair is beautiful, it looks natural like it’s never been dyed. She took barely any length, cleaned up my layers and highlighted with a shade or two lighter than my natural color and it is perfect. Not only would I go to her again, I wouldn’t go anywhere else.
