The owner always asks them what their favorite show is so they can watch while getting their cuts and then they leave with a snazzy cut and a lollipop and a sticker. At first my youngest was hesitant to have his first hair cut but Steve made him feel really relaxed and he was asking when we get to go back. I would highly recommend beards and shears especially to anyone with small children.I absolutely love taking my 2 boys here for their hair cuts. I absolutely love taking my 2 boys here for their hair cuts. The owner always asks them what their favorite show is so they can watch while getting their cuts and then they leave with a snazzy cut and a lollipop and a sticker. At first my youngest was hesitant to have his first hair cut but Steve made him feel really relaxed and he was asking when we get to go back. I would highly recommend beards and shears especially to anyone with small children.

His hair cut was so good his dad decided to come back himself. Steve took his time making sure ever thing was even and we were happy. Will be go there every time!

Critical: Professionalism, QualityDO NOT GO HERE!!!On 12/28/21 I had an appointment at Beards & Sheards Barbershop with Stephen to get a fade on the side and back of my hair. All went well while there, but after I left, I noticed that Stephen cut 9-10 of my dreadlocks to the root. I contacted him about this, and stated that he only will take blame for not giving me a proper consultation and getting the clippers stuck in 1. In actuality they were stuck 3 different times and cut 9.I asked that he simply pay to get the damaged hair repaired and he refused and became extremely belligerent. After yelling at me and telling me not to speak until he was finished talking, he accused me of lying. After listening to him go on a rant for approximately 5 minutes, I stated, bottom line, you effed up. He then stated that I was being aggressive and volatile, and he did not feel comfortable being around me, and that he feared me. All of this was over the phone mind you!!! I stated to him that it appeared that he was trying to label me as an angry black man. He. Said of course I would take it to race and then attempted to gaslight me.I never felt comfortable going back for a refund out of fear for my safety. Stephen stated that I would be childish and spiteful if I left a negative review and was trying to discredit his training. Stated I was vain for wanting my hair to be cut properly…. And on and on.Bottom line…I would not recommend this place to anyone unless you want your hair to be damaged and to be disrespected by an extremely unprofessional individual. All Stephen would admit to was getting the clippers stuck once in my hair and not giving me a proper consultation.
