My hair quickly became severely damaged, and I lost all hope that there was a special stylist for me in New Jersey. However, finding Bayyinah was such a blessing because she is not only an an exceptional stylist, but also a very special human being.The entire experience from start to finish was superb. The first time with a new hairdresser is usually stressful and you tend to sit on pins & needles, but none of that happened with Bayyinah. She was insightful, understanding, and patient when we discussed where my hair had been, and in what direction we would be going with it. The shampoo was relaxing and she really took her time. Not only this, but sitting in her chair felt like a therapy session! I was so relaxed and could immediately feel the tension releasing from my scalp. Bayyinah was also so confident in everything that she was doing. She asked the right questions, and went over every inch of my head as she familiarized herself with head shape and hair growth patterns. When my previous stylist retired after working on my hair for a couple of years, I was lost. My stylist always took such good care of me, and when she retired I waited a very long time before I tried other stylists. Well, as many would guess, my worst fears came true. My hair quickly became severely damaged, and I lost all hope that there was a special stylist for me in New Jersey. I’ve been going to Bayyinah for than 10 years. I would say that I’m a customer but the experience is so much more. Bayyinah’s personality lights up the room when you walk in. You feel like you’re with family and in an inviting place of warmth and caring, which isn’t always common when visiting a salon. Her skill, level of knowledge, and professionalism are top notch. My hair, relationship with my stylist, and salon experience are all important to me. I need to be able to trust my hair stylist and Bayyinah establishes that trust that makes you feel comfortable. Bayyinah is absolutely the best at what she does. She has been my hair care professional & friend for over 20 years. Each experience is personalized & specific for you. She makes you feel so comfortable, as though she has come into your home to take care of your hair. Her goal, which she always exceeds, is to provide TLC for your hair. What can I say about Bayyinah and BChic? In a word. LOVE. Bayyinah is a wonderful, talented and beautiful person and stylist inside/out who was born to put her hands on your head. She absolutely cares/is passionate about the health of your tresses and about you too! I visited her on a recommendation from a friend after leaving my NYC salon. It was the first day that I dropped my 1 yo son off at daycare and I arrived at my appointment in tears. Not only did ‘B’ comfort me with her loving words and hugs, but my hair was on point!! I’ve been going to her ever since, that was 12 years ago. Over the years, I’ll admit I may have been a challenge at times (she’ll love you anyway) but when I listen to my stylist, I see results!
