Base Salon is a luxury, boutique salon in the West Loop that’s anything but bougie. Owner Krysta Rojas sharpened her skills at Solo Salon and Axel + Ivy before opening up Base in January of 2016. Located in the heart of Chicago’s hippest neighborhood on Morgan Street, Base has redefined the hair salon experience with an intimate,six styling stations model inside a glamorous, space that was custom designed by Studio West(think chic art installations, chocolate brown wainscotting and gold accents galore). Here, Base turns clients into brand devotees by always being trend-forward when it comes to hairstyles, colors and cuts, by treating its customers like family, and by carefully vetting its highly trained team to stay on the cutting edge.

I have had nothing but great experiences at Base Salon! The entire staff is incredibly professional and friendly, and the salon is gorgeous. Danielle is AMAZING! She is so skilled at what she does, I always leave so happy with my hair. She is incredible at highlights, she creates a blonde look that is so effortless and natural – I’ve really never found anyone else that does this as well as her and I’ve been coloring my hair for 10 years! I went last Thursday and this was my first time walking in the salon.I got dumped by another girl so I was kinda nervous. Everyone was so friendly and kind! They were making sure I was happy and comfortable . Danielle was taking care of my hair and she really knows what she’s doing. I barely explained to her what I wanted and she really got it. I also trusted her (bc of all the good reviews I’ve read about her) so I let her do her thing and it was such a Beautiful result. She really made me feel back like myself.
