Marci, the owner has created a safe, clean and peaceful sanctuary that felt calming from the moment I walked in.I had a 30 minute Sauna followed by the “Little bit Longer” session. The Infrared Sauna was warm and I loved that I could sync my own music into the sauna using their bluetooth speakers. A shower, towels and comfy robe are provided as well as filtered water to drink. The spa is immaculate!The therapeutic massage was enhanced with luxurious oils and aromatherapy while on a really comfortable warmed table where not only a sheet but heavier blanket on top made it easy to sink in.Marci has an intuitive sense and her style incorporates the whole body rather than feeling like you are having segments done. That released tension and also evened out my energy too. I feel lighter, more at home in my body and deeply relaxed after this experience.I love how there is No Gratuity accepted so after the session you don’t need to do ANY THINKING! An absolutely AMAZING experience. Marci is phenomenal. I have chronic back issues and have had therapeutic massages regularly for years. This was one of the best massages I’ve ever had. Not to talk down the hardworking folks at other Ocean City spas, but I’ve literally tried them all and there’s no comparison with the excellent massage I received here. I only wish I lived closer so I could come back more frequently. The space is beautifully designed and super clean. Basalt is the only body work shop I’ll be going to in Ocean City from now on.

Wow, what more can I say about Basalt Massage. I’ve been going to Marci since she opened, but not often enough. I am finally getting around to writing a long overdue review. The serene atmosphere is a perfect setting for the transformative experience one will have. Basalt offers a variety of massages to suits one’s desires or needs, all for the same price. Where else can you have a hot stone massage for the price of a Swedish? And her prices are reasonable. You pick, she aims to please. I have never been disappointed. Perhaps it’s her nursing background that makes her so knowledgeable as well as being able to hone in on one’s body’s needs. Marci finds kinks I didn’t even know existed. She determinedly works them out with her incredibly strong and skilled hands. Basalt offers money saving packages to encourage regular care taking. Marci helped me to realize that a massage is not only a pleasurable experience, but a worthwhile investment into one’s health care needs. I can’t say enough about my wonderful experiences!

This was by far the most outstanding massage experience I have ever had. The room was cozy, the oils and scents were so extremely relaxing, and the technique was beyond wonderful. Many massages are choppy and uncoordinated, but not here. The massage was so smooth and the entire 90min session was easily worth the money. The price could easily be doubled for many places, but this facility gives your a better experience for the money than any other place I have ever been. Please do yourself a favor and treat yourself to a massage here!

I got an hour long table massage here a couple of days ago. Easily the best massage experience I’ve ever had. The studio is cozy, beautifully decorated, and very peaceful. I received a great massage, and I will definitely be back when I’m in OC next. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a some soothing, therapeutic bodywork.
