We specialize in Electrolysis (Permanent hair removal). We also provide Waxing (including Brazilian and Manzilian) Facials, Microdermabrasion and Chemical Peels. We are just off of 94 Freeway and Avocado Blvd Exit. We have plenty of free parking, open 6 days a week with evening hours to suit your schedule. We offer monthly specials and offer 10% discount to our military guests. We are gender friendly and have over 17 years of experience in Electrolysis and Waxing.

I came to Stella a few years ago for electrolysis treatments. She tends to over-promise and under-deliver. She looked at the area I told her I wanted completely cleared of hair and she told me it would just take 10 sessions, so I started going to her for treatments because I figured it was reasonable to go here for just 10 sessions and have all the hair permanently removed. However, I went to her for multiple sessions, we went past 10 sessions and the area was nowhere close to being cleared. I still had a ton of hair in the area. She just lied to me and promised me it would be clear because she wanted to get more customers and wanted to take my money. She had just opened the store and told me she didn’t have that many clients since it was a new location. I should have known better but I was new to all of this and she took advantage of that. I was also very young so I didn’t know any better. I have wasted hundreds of dollars here. I’ve gone to other aestheticians that also do electrolysis after Stella and they told me the work she did was not good and the method she used was deliberately slow which just takes much longer than it should and takes out less hair. I do not recommend this place at all. I’ve gone to aestheticians that do electrolysis way better than Stella, so I personally don’t recommend her. Huge waste of money. I feel that I was basically scammed.

I originally found Stella after relocating to San Diego from the East Coast and after trying a few other electrologists in the area. Stella is an absolute pleasure to work with for my skin care needs (electrolysis and waxing). When she left the salon where she was previously working I was worried I wouldn’t be able to find anyone as good, but then I found Stella at her new salon in La Mesa and am very excited that I get to continue working with her! The salon space at Bare Skin Beauty is clean and relaxing, booking is easy, and the staff are friendly and helpful.
