In Brooklyn for work temporarily and needed to find a barber. Modern spot with upbeat house tunes. Was able to do a walk-in without an appointment and didn’t wait long only 5 minutes, but safest bet is probably to book on their website just in case. Ruben was very kind and attentive to what I wanted with good conversation. Clean shop and you can tell the staff really go above and beyond to make sure that you feel you are getting a positive experience while being there. Very affordable prices for the area!!! Thankful for this barbershop. I’ll be back!

As a person who has bad luck trying out new barbers/stylists, I am hesitant in trying new places. However, Barber’s Philosophy’s is a god-send. I was unsure if my directions and pictures would be clear since I had my hair colored by a stylist at another shop but Tatiana was amazing. She cut it perfectly with clippers on the sides and a scissor cut on top while keeping my dyed hair in tact. Great attention to detail, plus a razor shave on the neck, and a hot towel to finish. All that for $33, I will be back.

1st time going I was impressed and satisfied with their service. Waited for the 2nd haircut to write a review to see if it was consistent. And it was they take their time they don’t rush. Very professional,nice establishment. Christina was my Barber very knowledgeable and skillful. 10/10 would recommend.

Some of the barbers understand almost no English. I had 3 years of healthy hair growth which was completely chopped up by a barber named Freddie who had absolutely no idea what I was asking him to do. I told him how long to cut and he said “sorry I do not know how long inch is”

They listened to you, really understand what you’re looking for, and are highly skilled at what they do. Never leave reviews but felt compelled as I was so disappointed. Booked an appointment with a specific barber based on reviews, but when I got there they assigned me to a different barber even though the person I booked was free. Not a great start. Ended up leaving with one of the worst haircuts I’ve ever gotten. During the haircut, I could sense it was trending in the wrong direction so I politely gave feedback to which they responded “relax, you will see after I’m done” as if they were very annoyed. Now I’m too embarrassed to even be in public without a hat.

One of the best neighborhood barber shops I’ve found and the prices are INCREDIBLY reasonable for Brooklyn! Kind and attentive hair professionals that offer nice extras (like a scented hot towel after the cut) that make it almost feel like a spa experience.
