Positive: Cleanliness, Professionalism, Punctuality, Quality, ValueI called the salon to make a last minute appointment for my five year old son for a haircut. They were awesome and got him in that same day at noon. The salon was beautiful and clean. Tori was so kind and patient with my son. She didn’t make me feel as though she was rushing through his cut just to get to the next client. She took her time and his haircut came out so good. I definitely recommend this salon but most importantly Tori. I called the salon to make a last minute appointment for my five year old son for a haircut. They were awesome and got him in that same day at noon. The salon was beautiful and clean. Tori was so kind and patient with my son. She didn’t make me feel as though she was rushing through his cut just to get to the next client. She took her time and his haircut came out so good. She did my hair way before she even became the boss babe/ salon owner that she is today ! The atmosphere is welcoming, cozy, and girly. The vibes from all of the other staff are nothing but friendly. Kaitlyn turned my hair from blue black to the blonde I’ve always dreamed of. We did it slow and healthy as you can see from the attached photos! The blonde that other stylists would off bat say “That’s not realistic for your natural hair color”. I have been going to Kaitlyn Beck for a while now, the co-owner. She did my hair way before she even became the boss babe/ salon owner that she is today ! The atmosphere is welcoming, cozy, and girly. The vibes from all of the other staff are nothing but friendly. Kaitlyn turned my hair from blue black to the blonde I’ve always dreamed of. I have known Kaitlyn for years and she is the most amazing stylist! I never leave disappointed or without absolutely loving my hair. Even though she is super busy, she is always so accommodating with my work schedule. The salon is extremely clean and they use very high quality products. They are upfront and honest about pricing and their pricing reflects the job the perform. They consult with you and make sure they are giving you exactly what you want and ask for. I have zero complaints. They are a woman owned, local business and I am proud to support them. Kaitlyn is very knowledgeable and when I got extensions she matched my hair color PERFECT to the extensions and gave me so many tips on how to keep them in tact and long lasting. They are upfront and honest about pricing and their pricing reflects the job the perform. They consult with you and make sure they are giving you exactly what you want and ask for. I have zero complaints. They are a woman owned, local business and I am proud to support them. Kaitlyn is very knowledgeable and when I got extensions she matched my hair color PERFECT to the extensions and gave me so many tips on how to keep them in tact and long lasting. Prior to coming to the Dollhouse, I went elsewhere for my lashes and it was time consuming and painful. Tori is beyond talented, she is efficient and there is no pain! Being fairly new to coloring my hair, co-owner Kaitlyn listened to what I wanted and personally matched me with a stylist that best fit the vision I had for my hair. Let me tell you, Chelsea did NOT disappoint. She listened to what I wanted and walked me through each step to make sure I was comfortable. My hair turned out better than I could have even imagined! All of the ladies at the Dollhouse are friendly and welcoming from the moment you walk in the door, regardless of it you are seeing them for services or not. Such a beautiful salon in a great location. You are always greeted right as you walk in the door! I’ve been there multiple times for both my hair and eyelash extensions. Kaitlyn and Tori are both amazing and listen to what you really want. I’ve always had difficulty dying my hair and ever since going there my hair has never been healthier or longer. Highly recommend!!

Critical: Professionalism, Punctuality, QualityLet me start by saying the makeup artist (Lexi) and the hairstylist (Hannah) were very talented and incredible to work with. Ironically, the reason I worked with them was due to multiple horrible experiences with Julie. I honestly can’t even list them all. One of the bigger issues was Julie deciding I’d be getting my makeup done at 8:45am for a 5pm ceremony start time- despite my photographer and videographer suggesting otherwise. I was told a few weeks leading up to my wedding the time was non negotiable and Julie is no longer doing my bridesmaids makeup (even though this was in my contract) AND she’s leaving right after she does mine. I told her I wasn’t comfortable with that early of a start time via text and she blocked me. My text said not delivered, I tried calling and it went straight to voicemail- I thought maybe her phone was off but there were so many other issues that I was suspicious. I tried from my fiancé’s phone and wallah, it rang multiple times all the way to voicemail. I left a voicemail and pretended to be confused but it was obvious what happened. I panicked and couldn’t believe she blocked me for voicing a legitimate concern. I started calling other makeup artists in the area because I thought Julie was going to take my money and run. Well, all the other artists confirmed that’s way too early of a start time AND one of them told me she had multiple brides calling her this season with similar issues with Julie. Of course- two weeks out to my wedding date everyone was booked. When Julie finally had her assistant contact me I asked if Julie would do a bridesmaids makeup at 8:45am and the second makeup artist can do mine later instead. I was informed “Julie does not provide services to bridesmaids and will not be traveling to do so” … I asked for photos of the other makeup artists work because at this point I was willing to just work with someone else even though I had already paid and completed a $450 trial with Julie. They wouldn’t send me any photos. I tried making the best of the situation and accepted it with no say in the matter. Well, less than 24 hours from my wedding I get a text from her company saying Julie will actually be doing my makeup at 7am, and it’s non-negotiable. At this point I asked again if she can do a bridesmaids makeup because there’s no way I’m getting my makeup done 10 hours before my ceremony and they said no. I sent a strongly worded message and Julie agreed to do a bridesmaids makeup. Bottom line, my wedding look worked out but the amount of issues I had (this is literally the tip of the iceberg) was not worth any of the stress. Working with this company was my ONLY stress about my wedding and it’s such a shame. I was booked with them for 2 years so any excuse about covid doesn’t hold weight- don’t overbook yourself when you had prior commitments, and if you do, maybe inform your brides so we know we have the option to find alternatives so we don’t feel like an inconvenience and burden to our makeup artist. My goal in writing this review is that people who rely on these reviews don’t make the same mistake I did- I thought I was in good hands with all these great reviews- look elsewhere, there are so many talented and kind professionals who want to make you feel special on your special day. Also, I’m hoping this opens Julie’s eyes to her business practice and treats her brides way better moving forward.
