I had an appointment today at 11. I scheduled this appointment 2 months out for a wedding I have today. I am from Fort Worth and was recommended here for braiding by Chelsea Colarelli. I checked in 12 min early. By 1145 no one had came out to even notify me that they were running late. The person I was scheduled with didn’t even introduce herself or updated me on anything. 1150 I just left since I need to get ready for a wedding. Very upsetting.

Never going back. Maybe it was just the lady who did my hair, but my experience was awful. I showed her a picture & specifically told her I wanted a dark burgundy but when she put it on my head, it itched & burned so bad that I wanted to cry. She said she didn’t put anything in the dye to make my hair lighter which was a lie because when we got done it was bright red. Also, I asked her to put black underneath & she said she didn’t have black, which was obviously another lie because what kind of hair salon doesn’t have black? Very very disappointed.

As a man, I used to think that barber shops for men were the only place to go for haircuts. However, I have been going to the Banana Bush for several years now and have always received prompt, friendly professional service. The atmosphere is quite cozy. There are always stylists available for your hair needs as well as pedicures and manicures. I would recommend Bobbie Ross or Jessica Papay but really anyone whom you may get will treat you right and do a great job. Prices vary by stylist but you’re getting certified cosmotologist work also!
