I’ve suffered with chronic, severe pain for many, many years stemming from Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome/Hypermobility Spectrum Disorder. I’ve tried traditional PT countless times and never had success. The therapists simply don’t understand EDS and its many manifestations throughout the entire body. One of my doctors suggested orthopedic massage and myofascial release, and I was lucky to find Baltimore Orthopedic Massage online. Alex has been TREMENDOUSLY successful in diagnosing the many problems I have with my joints, muscles, tendons and fascia. The daily pain I have is disappearing with each treatment, and I can’t recall a time in my life when my IT bands, hips and back have felt so amazing. Alex is patient, thorough and fully committed to helping his patients. I really can’t express how grateful I am that I’ve finally found a therapist who gets it and is making such incredible progress with all of my problems. I wish I had found Alex years ago, and I wish I could give him 10 stars!!

Positive: Communication, Professionalism, QualityI highly recommend Alex McMillan at Baltimore Orthopedic Massage if you have persistent muscle pain and you want virtually painless massage treatments to cure what ails you.I was referred to Alex by a personal trainer who realized that my hip pain and accompanying problems that I’d been having for over a year and half were really bio-mechanical issues involving overuse of certain leg muscles to compensate for tightness in other areas. Alex massaged the offended (and offending!) muscles and has been helping me relearn how to walk and stand properly so as to not to re-injure them. I am so happy to be able to stand up and walk without pain and it’s all thanks to orthopedic massage.I highly recommend Alex McMillan at Baltimore Orthopedic Massage if you have persistent muscle pain and you want virtually painless massage treatments to cure what ails you. …More

Positive: Communication, Professionalism, QualityAlex is excellent. He’s skilled, knowledgable, and a pleasure to work with. After three sessions, he’s made way more progress on my chronic alignment issues than my PT did in 12 weeks. He has a thorough understanding of anatomy and the science of pain. He achieves impressive, lasting results and uses techniques that recalibrate the brain’s perception of pain and pressure. It’s weird, but it works!Alex is excellent. Positive: Communication, Professionalism, QualityAfter a broken wrist, surgery, and OT, I was still experiencing pain preventing me from performing everyday tasks and full recovery. Alex worked out the pain, elbow to hand, allowing me to get back to full range of motion. After about four visits and six weeks, I am back to pain-free everyday tasks as well as weightlifting and yoga (didn’t think I could do yoga ever again). Alex provides a fantastic and efficient service to eliminate pain. Positive: Communication, Professionalism, QualityI had been going to Physical Therapy for tennis elbow for some time with little to no improvement. After 2 massage appointments with Alex my symptoms and pain was massively reduced and I’m back to feeling functional again. Alex is very knowledgeable in physiology, pleasant to talk to and is very professional. He will be straight forward and honest with you and not try to sell you more than you need (different from many others in his field). Can’t recommend Baltimore Orthopedic Massage enough. Positive: Communication, QualityI need a knee replacement, but have been doing different treatment modalities to help postpone the surgery. After about 4 appointments with Alex, I had people asking me if I had had my surgery, because I was walking so much better. I told them “No, but I have been going for Medical Massage Therapy appointments”. Alex is an excellent massage therapist! He really listened to me, and was able to pinpoint where my back pain was originating – not just where I felt it. He even found problems I didn’t even know I had. Alex’s knowledge of body mechanics is impressive – and it sets him apart from other therapists and enables him to work smarter, not harder. After one session, I felt better; after two sessions, I am pain free! I wish I could give him more than 5 stars!

Alex was able to help with I neck injury I received while in the Army. He was very informative and helpful. He also worked on my back, shoulders, and hips with the extra time. Now that a week has passed, it is all feeling way better than before going in. Highly recommend!

Alex was able to identify the underlying issue causing problems I’ve been having for years with my right leg. I’d been to physical therapy and had other types of massage without any relief. I am now symptom free thanks to Alex. Alex is very knowledgeable and professional. He is truly gifted and does amazing work. I highly recommend him!!
