After reading the many positive reviews, and my son’s regular barber not being available opted to give Balbina’s (Jorge) “The Barber” a shot. Hence why I waited two days to post this, hoping for a call/apology that has yet not come. I communicated with Jorge via phone/text for several days and despite a $10 appt/Sunday fee in addition to an already $25 cut, I confirmed an appointment for 10:00 am on Easter Sunday. I should’ve been leery of what was to come when I get a text of Jorge boasting about how “he’s good at what he does” when I requested a low taper fade for my son. The 2nd flag was me getting a text on Saturday morning at 9:43 am for a 10 am appt. from Jorge letting me know he had “woken up sick” but could see him tomorrow. Talk about not keeping good track of your agenda, our appointment was on Sunday and he was texting on Saturday, and secondly, Jorge must’ve already known it was one of those 24-hour bugs as he already knew he was going to be better by Sunday. So on Saturday evening, texted Jorge confirming a 10 am appt. to which I never received a response, showed up Sunday at 9:53 am for a 10 am to a closed shop, again texted Jorge confirming the location and no response. I drove around and pulled back up to find the shop now open. Walk in with my son to be met by (His mom don’t know her name) who neither offered a good morning or a how can I help you. But was greeted with an attitude when letting her know that I was there for a 10 am an appointment with Jorge. This lady, whom I now come to find out is “his mother” proceeded to tell me that I must’ve been mistaken and that there was no possible way that my son had an appointment with Jorge and that she was not made aware of it. She then proceeded to tell me, that she would call him “and ask” as if I was the one that was wrong, if I really did have an appointment, but according to her was unable to connect with him. I’m sorry but this is a grown man that we are speaking of not a child, how about instead of sitting there and giving me an attitude, in front of my 5 year old son and making me feel like I made a mistake. How about you be a professional, apologize for the lack of unprofessionalism of your son and maybe teach him to have considerations for others time. I will say that she did offer for us to come back the next day, to which I politely declined and let her know that I would be taking my business elsewhere. I am all for supporting small businesses and the community, but expect a level of professionalism, customer service, that this is establishment is certainly lacking. At the end of the day Jorge turned out to be all talk about “being good at what he does” cause obviously he’s not good at “keeping time or appointments” Truly disappointed!!

Critical: QualityThe old lady, has no patience and doesn’t cut your hair the way you want it, and on top of that she shaved half my eyebrow off.

Ok place. The owner seems nice enough but it’s too bad I understand Spanish when he looked at me and raised the price!
