Back in Health Signature Massage
This Massage IS NOT your typical relaxing spa massage; however if you have neck, back, shoulder, hip, or leg pain, this is the massage you want. The Signature Massage is an integration of relaxing Swedish massage, deep tissue massage, neuromuscular and trigger point therapy, massage cupping and Active Isolated Stretching that can be used in conjunction with hot/cold therapy to maximize recovery, improve range of motion and ease aches and pains. Signature Massage sessions are done with the client nude while covered with proper draping.120 minute session or longer is required for this treatment.
Deep Tissue Massage
A form of bodywork to relieve tension in the deeper layers of tissue in the body, releasing chronic stress areas due to misalignment, repetitive motions, and past lingering injuries. Undress to client’s comfort level.
Fluid Massage Technique (FMT)
Fluidity or flow, of the massage is created by a never-ending contact and movement by the therapist. Through the proper use of body mechanics and table height, FMT uses the therapist’s full body weight to deliver the technique and varied pressure. FMT is medium to deep pressure work, but can be varied if lighter pressure is required. FMT sessions are done with the client nude with minimal draping and warmed 100% pure, raw coconut oil lubricant for maximum fluidity of the massage. This is the ultimate relaxation massage.
Massage Cupping
Massage cupping is essentially the inverse of typical massage therapy. Massage cupping targets deep tissues by creating suction and lifting the skin over the muscles. Because of this upward suction and lifting of the skin and muscle, the blood vessels and capillaries expand. As the area receives a fresh infusion of blood, it is flooded with nutrients and oxygen that work to heal damaged and injured tissue. In addition, the blood carries away the accumulation of toxins, dead cells, and other debris that may be hampering healing and cause pain. As a result of better circulation, the tensed muscles, stiff tissues, knots and adhesions, relax, soften and become more pliable and flexible.
Neuromuscular & Trigger Point Therapy- NMT
Neuromuscular massage therapy is a specific soft tissue technique that is especially beneficial for relieving muscular pain caused by accident or injury. The NMT massage therapist seeks out trigger points (areas of local tenderness) that refer pain to another part of the body or ischemic areas (areas of spasm), then applies stroking, spreading, friction, and pressure to the muscles, fascia, tendons and ligaments, allowing them to “relax” so they can be gently stretched and mobilized thus changing the tissue from a “Ridged to Pliable” substance.
Pregnancy Massage
Any of our massage treatments can be employed with the use of our custom support body systems. This system allows the pregnant patient to be completely comfortable, even when laying face down. If you are pregnant, you will love this massage. Undress to client’s comfort level.
Swedish Massage
A classic therapeutic massage designed to release tension and stress throughout the body. Swedish massage relaxes muscles and provides a feeling of tranquility and heightened well-being. Undress to clients comfort level.

Mike was very knowledgeable and friendly for my first massage session. He made me feel comfortable and he did ask me several times if I was comfortable and for permission to proceed. I would recommend him to Anyone that needs a deep and intense massage (he does many different types of massages). I went for relief of pain not to feel more relaxed.

Fantastic experience! I’m always able to get an appt. When needed and Michael is easy to work with. I suffer from acute migraines with many triggers. Stress and tension being a big one. While my migraines aren’t cured, since starting therapy they have greatly reduced in frequency and duration. The type of massage I can receive here actually provides medical benefit and his knowledge of the muscular system and how everything works together has been very beneficial in providing me some relief from a very debilitating issue.

Mike has made my life better with his focused massages for my back and hips. As a nurse who is in chronic pain, he has been able to help keep me working during these very hard and stressful days. Mike has been a huge lifesaver for me. Very professional and the best hands for working out knots

Mike is excellent!! He’s a pro at what he does and knows lots of stretches and other massage techniques to work knotted muscles. You can tell me has a real passion for this work and loves his job. Note that this tends to be more of a sports/health massage than a spa massage- either way, you won’t regret going here!!!

I had my first massage with Mike this past month after experiencing some pretty bad low back issues from L5 S1and the tightness was causing more pain. Mike not only worked out the tightness but also taught me some stretches that were important to keeping my low back from tightening up again. I appreciate his expertise and the way he talks through everything.

Michael is an absolute GEM! I’m an Indian woman who has had bad back aches since I was a teenager. Accompanied by a delivery and running behind a toddler, I have found my aches have increased throughout my body through the years. Mind you, I have been to so many massages around the world but those were more of spas and although they gave me momentary comfort with the aromatic oils, ambience and music, almost immediately I felt my aches come back.

Great experience! Very knowledgeable and great service. I felt very comfortable with the massage. The interior work helped a lot and I’m feeling a million times better, very sore the next few days but that’s never a bad thing!
