Positive: Cleanliness, Professionalism, QualityMo Elkurdi is the patron saint of curly hair!! He truly enjoys cutting and styling curly hair and it shows. Today was my second time getting my hair cut by him and I’m officially a lifetimer now. I explained to him that I wear my hair naturally curly 100% of the time and I didn’t want to get a cut and blow dry my hair straight to get the “wow” reveal. He listened and then did his magic. He washed, cut and diffused my hair and it was FABULOUS! I went a whole 6 months (I know – I’m awful at upkeep) between haircuts and it was still curly and looked good. Mo’s passion for hair is exhibited in his commitment to continually learning, changing, and teaching his associates at BH Studio. He actually lights up when you ask him questions about his cutting and styling techniques. It’s so refreshing to meet someone who wholeheartedly loves what they do. I have a unique version of how I want my hair. I often like to change it up from regular colors to a fantasy color. I recently went from platinum to pink. I maintain my platinum color on a regular basis and have been able to keep my hair very healthy thanks to Brooke’s recommendations. She does a great job on my blonde and was able to match a color I wanted for the pink from what they had in the salon. I wanted a very specific subtle light pink that mixed well with the blonde. I had many compliments on this hair color. They are always very nice and know their clients by sight when they walk in the door. They do a great job with a round brush style.

I’ve been coming to BH Hair Studio for 6 years!! I will ONLY come here! I’m so picky but I put all my trust in Laura with my haircuts, she does exactly what I want every time. After a few months of talking about it, I finally let Brooke do color… I wanted to hide some grey but didn’t want the regular maintenance or price tag of constantly trying to cover them. I’m not hard to please at all! lol. Anyways, I let these women work their magic- and it IS MAGIC. These pictures are 3.5 months after my last appointment. Brooke did such an amazing job helping me pick colors that would blend and hide my grey but still look natural. It grew out natural and beautiful. I cannot recommend Laura and Brooke enough!!! Talent plus beautiful souls. BH has also had the same staff for years so you know it’s a good company.

So, I had severe “covid hair” – no color for 18 months and only home haircuts that were really bad. First, they didn’t shame my really pathetic hair, but instead gave me many choices on how to repair all the damage. The entire staff was delightful, everyone there was so easy-going, polite, and simply lovely to work with. They were incredibly busy, but still very positive. They took their time on making my hair beautiful and healthy, I was there just over 4 hours. Since I had so much gray, we decided to do a full white highlight and cut about 6 inches off the ends. WOW, it turned out SO MUCH BETTER that I imagined! It looks natural and healthy; I could not be any happier or thankful. Great job to Mia for the amazing color match, and Amanda for the perfect haircut! Also, the young lady who washed my hair multiple times, and kept giving me little head massages, you are gifted and should charge just for this service! I will definitely be back. This is a professional salon with a grateful attitude! Thanks everyone!

I asked for my highlights to stay the same color or lighter and the girl did it way darker, my highlights are basically gone and my hair was not dried well . Ruined my hair !!thanks a lot if i wanted it darker i would’ve done that myself at home ♀️and not waste my money…

For years I drove into Houston to have my hair done. I finally found BH Hair Studio here in Katy and instantly loved Mia and Mo. Mia does a wonderful job coloring my hair the way I have always liked it, using two colors. And Mo, well he is the best at what he does. He is the founder and senior creative director and does an amazing job cutting and styling it! The studio itself is very well organized, clean and has a great staff overall!

She doesn’t seem like one of the senior hairstylist since she was consulting with another person, which was totally fine with me. Had a wonderful experience at this salon! Amanda worked with Mo to make the magic happen on my hair. Loved the cut and the detailed attention they both paid to my hair texture, weight and final polished look. Update to add: I wore it curly yesterday and today, and my hair is weightless and bouncing with curls. Thank you for breathing new life back into my curly hair! I will definitely be back!

I have PTSD of sorts. My hair is not easy to work with. Explained to the very nice girl at the front desk that no one has really helped me in years. Everyone explains to me that I need to embrace my “curls”. I don’t have CURLS, I have frizzy, wavy, thick yucky hair. She tells me that I should talk to Mo. So I do… He was arrogant and to in a hurry to really talk to me. Got upset with me by not understanding what I was really trying to say and he was not listening… said he could do it and to make an appt and walked off. NOPE… not what I need. I left in tears… It’s arrogant, rush rush rush… that got my hair looking like it is. I know I am old, fat and ugly….but, you could at least try to make me feel worth your time.
