Styled my hair before I went there so stylist could see how I wore my hair. Tried to talk with him (Mario) before he washed my hair, but he rushed me to the washing station. Went back to the styling chair and asked if he could dry it first before cutting to see how it lays, and he said no we only had 45 mins. I told him I wanted it shortened up and layers brought back together, and I didn’t like seeing the unblended, defined layers in back. I asked him if he had any ideas about how to style it and he said no, he relied on what his clients told him. I told him I liked fullness around the crown because I have an oblong face which means it is narrow on top. I tried to start a conversation with him and I asked if he was from Santa Fe, and he just said “No.” Pretty clearly he didn’t want to talk. I showed him a photo on my phone of how I wear my hair. He cut my hair and showed it to me and I told him I wanted the heaviness taken out of the back so it was more tapered up, and he said “Well, you said you didn’t want layers so if you want this shortened I will have to put layers in.” I responded that I didn’t want the visible, defined layers but that I wanted the bulk taken out of the bottom. He said that my hair was already pretty dry so he couldn’t do too much and he was obviously not pleased, but he did do that and showed it to me. When ge dried my hair, he did not use a roller brush at all nor did he curl it. He rubbed texturing powder in and basically left me looking ridiculous. He said he didn’t know what to do because he didn’t know how I styled my hair. Say what?? I was going to ask him if he had a problem with me for some reason when I checked out, but he had walked away and had someone else check me out. I did call and leave a voice mail outlining my dissatisfaction (I did leave a 15% tip which I know is low but I was damned if I would leave more). Everyone else there was friendly and talking with their clients. Evidently he did not want me to be his client. Wish granted.

They were just too good!! Jocelyn, Claire, and Elizabeth did my hair as well as the hair of my mom and my aunt for a family wedding we were attending. The salon was extremely clean and the staff was so friendly. There was no wait time and the three ladies were very helpful especially when it came to deciding what kind of hairstyle to sport for the function. Not only was the service awesome, but the prices were extremely reasonable. HIGHLY recommend this salon!

I highly recommend Joaquin for men’s haircuts. My previous barber cut my hair for over 10 years but when he moved to LA, I tried a half dozen haircutters before I discovered Joaquin at B Beautiful Salon. My wife gave me a thumbs up and smile when she saw Joaquin’s haircut– she’s very discriminating. I don’t put anything on my hair, just wash and wear and after 3-4 weeks, it still looks good.

I have seen Josh on and off for 7 years due to my traveling and living in other states. I always come back to her because of her expertise with thick long hair. She is so good!!! Not everyone can cut long hair and I have been to some of the best in Beverly Hills that have difficulty. So with that said, Josh is the one for me! She listens and gives you exactly what you want.
