This is where I take my Mom to spoil her a little bit and get her hair done. Awaken Salon has proved to be an excellent and professional establishment. It is so clean and lovely inside. And my Mom always sees Shannon. She does a fantastic job with her hair. Her layering, face framing, and styling skills are absolutely top-notch. And she’s so personable and sweet to my Mom which means the world to me. She’s so easy to talk to and work with. I know that this establishment also offers a wide variety of services in addition to hair cutting and styling. Whenever I go there, I always see happy and satisfied customers. I couldn’t recommend this business any more highly than I am. What a rare find in a smaller town like Jefferson. This is absolutely a 5 star review all the way.

Didnt do a good job on my highlights. Didnt complete a full partial. added lowlights in only some areas and didnt bring them all the way to the end OR all the way around my head. My hair was a nice blonde color before (easy to lighten) and i felt like I walked out orange with to dark of lowlights. My old hair dresser fixed my hair, and took pictutes of the old color before she did so. I tried emailing them on their site about a refund because I didnt want to go back for them to mess up my hair. So i ended up paying in full for something that damaged my hair, and I got a lousy color and had to pay my hairstylist to fix what was messed up… very unsatisfied. I will say the only good thing was the cut.

I received a free haircut coupon and wanted to try this salon. The moment I walked in and when my stylist found out that my haircut was free she copped an attitude. I told her I wanted a little weight taken out on the back and was trying to grow the side out. She might as well shaved the back for as short as she took it. Made the top part of the back that I really liked way too short, the back half wasn’t even cut evenly. I had to go get the cut fixed. I know it sucks giving a person a free cut but I was going to give her 30.00 for tip. But not after this guy…. I was very disappointed

I had the Best experience at this salon!!! Jessica was my stylist. I was on a quick trip from out of state, and they got me in, after I had called a list of other salons!! The cherry on the cake, it was an Aveda salon!!! These ladies have a Beautiful place and it was a pleasure to have my hair done there!!! I love my new due!!! Thank You!!!!!

We moved to the area about a year ago and decided to try a salon in my area. Booked an appointment with Renee for a haircut/all over color with highlight. Renee was very thorough and listened to what I wanted. I did bring with me my color formula from my previous salon. When the color was done and she was about to cut I realized my hair was way too dark. Not her fault at all. She did what I asked. I asked for a stacked bob and she actually pulled out her phone to show me pictures to make sure she was giving me what I wanted. She finished the cut (which I absolute love) and then went back in and did more highlights to lighten it up. I will definitely return! Thanks Renee!

The salon is exceptionally clean and the staff is super friendly. I have seen lots of beautiful hairstyles leave this shop. I personally come to see Jessica for hair color and trim. I let her “play” with the highlights and color. She has never disappointed me and I get compliments on my hair frequently.
