This place is amazing. As a woman of color, I’ve always been very particular about who I let do my hair. I was especially cautious after moving from the south to Forest Hills where I haven’t seen a lot of people with a similar hair texture to mine but the staff at AviHair was phenomenal. I booked a consultation with Ryan. He made me feel very comfortable by asking the right questions, did I have a relaxer, what was my ethnicity (to understand what kind of curls I had since I came in with my hair blown out). I explained the look I was going for (full color + highlights) but he offered an alternative lower maintenance solution of back to back highlights, which I appreciated. Healthy hair is happy hair right! He talked me through the process and we scheduled the appointment to do color my hair. Fast forward: my hair came out GORGEOUS. His color instincts are supreme. I couldn’t pick a color so he made a recommendation between two shades and hand mixed the color. I love it.

I started coming here because of Meenu! She’s a wonderful esthetician. I usually get threading done for my entire face and have gotten microblading done by her as well. She’s the sweetest and does such a great job. She also offers facials and laser removal. One stop shop for all and you wouldn’t be disappointed. Prices are also very reasonable. Highly recommend!

This was already my third time with Meenu. Meenu has been taking care of my eyebrows since she was with another salon and I JUST CANT FIND ANOTHER ONE WITH PERFECT HANDS AS HERS!! She’s like a godsend since my eyebrows used to be lack of shape and she just beautifully sculpts my eyebrows- a painless and amazing one. Threading is on point and excellent value for money. Meenu’s friendly and just basically light up your day with her smile and patience! HANDS DOWN MY FAV FOR THREADING MY BROWS!

The hair salon is very spacious. It has a very convenient parking lot that is share with Walgreens and other stores. The staff are courteous and friendly. Jose María one of the hairstylers did my hair and he really got what I wanted to do with my hair from the highlights, base color and haircut. Even he did some recommendations too. I was very pleased and happy with the results.
