I was torn about how many stars to give Avia Spa and actually came back and revised my review to 2 stars because I’ve never been this sore after a massage. I got a package with a facial and massage and was satisfied when I left. The facial was awesome, she did a great job and my skin was glowing afterwards. The massage definitely left something to be desired. As someone who gets massaged frequently, the experience just felt a little off. My massage therapist was yawning and burping way too many times during my massage for it not to be awkward. I caught myself wondering several times if he was actually licensed as he did not put a bolster under my ankles and I felt like he applied too much direct pressure to my spine. The day after my appointment, my back felt bruised and it hurt to move. I’ve gone from thinking the massage was a little off to being sure that my therapist had no idea what he was doing. I’ve had deep tissue massages before and have never felt like this after a massage. I feel like I actually have bruising on my spine. I would go back for a facial, but never a massage.

Wrong address given, so we were late 10 minutes. They deducted that time from our session. Not professional…. Lady on the phone didn’t sound very friendly and enthusiastic. Not professional…. Massage of legs did not go above knees. Not professional… We had voucher that included “Aroma Therapy”, but there was not such a thing. Not professional… On the check-out we were asked for – tip, like it is “must”. Not professional, at all… I’ve seen much friendlier and more professional places.

It was a great experience. This was the first time I have been to a spa and I booked a package, with the full body massage, facial and a pedicure. It was awesome. The massage was great! He did my back, arms, legs, feet, and scalp! Very relaxing and I felt less tense. The facial was nice as well, it was so calming. I went with my best friend and she agreed it was a great experience.

My friend and I went for facials and massages and they were amazing! For the price and service we definitely got our money’s worth. I went in with a headache and walked out feeling great! The facial was nice and relaxing, she was gentle yet thorough doing the extraction part. The massage was very deep tissue and again it was great, she checked several time throughout the massage to ensure that the pressure was ok. So not only did I leave there with my skin glowing, but my entire body felt wonderful! I had no issues with them being rude as previous reviews stated about the amount I tipped and I found them to be very friendly! Will definitely go again when in the area!

Critical: QualitySuper disappointing. Couples massage for our anniversary. The room and bed was cold. Barely used oil. Rushed us as we were talking clothes off. We had mimosas but didn’t have time to drink it. Won’t be taking back here.

This was the most uncomfortable spa experience and massage I have ever had. The place was noisy with slamming doors, banging, and people talking the entire time we were trying to relax for our couples massage. They also told us we would get mimosas because we were using a Groupon (actually- we didn’t purchase through Groupon, we bought the same deal directly from the spa because they asked us to) and mimosas were never even mentioned during our visit. In addition, the person who was massaging me did not seem to be experienced at all. I have had many massages before and never felt so uncomfortable. I am not convinced that he is a licensed professional. He did not put a pillow under my ankles, so my knees began to lock up and cut off circulation to my feet, leaving me squirming for comfort. He did not adjust the head rest to my comfort, and he did NOT know how to massage. Laying mostly undressed in a massage bed, it’s hard to get comfortable anyways and even harder to tell the apparent professional that what he’s doing is miserable. Lastly, the staff were talking to one another during our massage. Very rude and unprofessional. Will never return or recommend this business to anyone. This establishment needs to seriously reconsider its practices if it wants to be successful.

My husband and I bought a Groupon for a couples massage. We will not be returning. Overall, the massage was okay, but the experience was kind of sketchy. The massage room door did not close properly, so you had to slam it. (There was an over-the-door hook rack on the door, which was making it stick.) So, when they told us to undress for the massage, they had to slam the door behind them. Then, at the conclusion of our massage, the therapists left without closing the door all the way. So, I had to get my husband to shut the door so that I wasn’t flashing anyone in the hall. The whole place smelled like fish food. My husband thought it smelled like hermit crabs. Whatever the odor, it wasn’t good. For the first half of our massages, we were distracted by the weird smell. They also forgot to turn music on in our room. So, we were in a completely quiet room that smelled funky. Not relaxing.

My husband & I got the couples massage for Valentine’s Day…a TOTAL waste of money!! First of all we were greased up like Thanksgiving turkeys, then they basically rubbed us down with no massaging going on at all! Not once did they touch our arms, hands, or feet. We’ve had our fair share of massages & this was by far the worst. Maybe our therapists were tired since it was a busy V-day with extended hours (ours was at 9 pm) I feel like that’s no excuse for poor service that we paid good money for. Beware of this place if it’s a busy time of year. We left frustrated & confused by the minimal massage.

I’ve been for couple’s massages several times. The staff is always friendly and courteous. The massages (especially when you get the Groupon price) is beyond reasonable for the services provided.

Buyer be ware!!! I was given a gift of a spa package with 6 bulleted items. I received 4 and was told after the fact that the other 2 were “options” that would take time away from the full body massage, and I was too late to exercise those options. The massage was great. The Mani pedi was good. Basic painting, with a foot soak. And the mimosa was tasty. But not worth $169 (valued at $269 according to their site).
