Every once in a while I decide to do something unique to my hair to cheer myself up and this time was a PHENOMENAL experience with Johnathan Moore. I first reached out to him and asked if he could do pink hair… yup, you heard me, pink hair worthy of a real life fairy or mermaid! Johnathan was game for the challenge and we communicated extensively so he could make certain I knew what sort of pinks could be achieved with him and to make certain my desires lined up with this. Y’all, he straight up CREATED the actual formulas for each of the 4 different pinks he painted into the strands of my hair. He was such an artist!

My stylist Natalie H moved to Matthew Michael’s Salon recently. I have been going to Natalie for a few years now and am happy to see her at this salon. Natalie is amazing she listens to your ideas and reviews example pictures and then creates a masterpiece with your hair. I met the owner during my visit and he was friendly and professional as the entire team has been during my visits. I have been using Aveda products for over five years and was impressed with their selection. I recommend Matthew Michael’s Salon to everyone!!!

John is the best! He is truly an expert and is able to understand what I want and translate it into reality. He makes my hair look better than I thought possible. John is also a total sweetheart and fun to hang out with while he works his magic. The salon itself is also great. It is clean and comfortable, and the staff is very friendly.

I’m a pretty tough critic, but I rave to anybody who will listen about how much I love this salon. I discovered the salon because I followed my stylist, Natalie H, from a previous salon. Natalie is so kind, she’s funny and easy to talk to. She always helps me decide how I want to change up my look, and I know I can trust her to tell me the truth. It’s very obvious that the rest of the team is just as amazing – I did have a poor experience with a receptionist, and Matthew actually called me himself to follow up and make sure that I was okay afterward. I went for a haircut today, and Johanna Curry was my hairdresser. She was such a charm, and did an incredible job with my cut. The lack of stars is for the unpleasant conversation I had with the girl at the front desk. She charged me for a woman’s haircut even though I’m masculine presenting with very short hair, and have always been categorized as a men’s cut. I understand if it was a mistake, but there was no reasoning with her and she refused to give my money back for the up charge.
