Positive: ValueI have used braiding services at this establishment twice now. They were professional and provided a comfortable environment obeying covid guidelines. My first experience went really well the lady was very particular about getting the style right and took her time. I really appreciate her attention to detail and gentle hands. She expressed that she enjoys braiding, when you find someone like her you have to return. She did the swoop cornrows into a ponytail style. The second time i wanted to get in quickly (within a few days) to get 5 jumbo cornrows. They were able to see me that same day, on a Sunday no less. Another lady was there and did my style. I could tell by the way she was gripping the hair and constantly applying gel that it wasn’t going well. But 5 large braids how bad could it be? The style came out okay just not as sharp as it should’ve been. The top of my head the lines were not clean for the parts. And of course there were some snags in the braids that were not corrected. She did ask the other lady (the owner i believe) if she made the braids big enough then later if they were long enough. I think the end result was lack of skill (?) in that particular style…maybe she’s use to doing locs or something i have no clue. To remember her i was left with a small gift…yep that little bald patch from the braids being too tight. I would not recommend the 2nd braider but definitely the first braider hands down. BTW the pic of the braids are 2 weeks after it was done so please don’t judge her off this picture alone. Of course i would NOT return because i have no clue who i would get. I found the prices to be fair, enjoyed the professional environment and its convenient that they have hair there for purchase. The 4 stars is due to the first braider and overall positive attitude of the staff.***EDIT – management reached out to me to offer a re-do of the style. Although I declined the generous offer I appreciate the high level of customer service the business demonstrated. The second time I was kind of scared I had Ida but she did very neat work and each time I kept my braids up to 12 weeks. No disappointment I was in and out as promised! I have been going back home to get my hair braided because another hair shop out here did a bad job. I am soooooo happy that I gave them a try. I don’t have that fuzzy hair sticking out.
