I have short, naturally curly hair which can be stubborn to style, and the stylists at Aura have consistently helped me achieve and maintain my preferred look. It is a shame that this claimed high end Salon offered low quality service. I booked an appointment with Adrianna for hair treatment. She left half way to service another customer. Another lady Isabel came to cover her up. Isabel left my hair wet and refused to dry my hair. She asked me to dry my hair myself because she is just a cover up. Such a DISRESPECTFUL TERRIBLE service from both of them!

I got married last Sunday, and Karen did an amazing job on my hair and makeup – they lasted all day (even through a surprisingly emotional ceremony that had everyone crying). My mom and bridesmaids’ hair and makeup looked great, too. The mimosas and breakfast snacks (croissants, mini-muffins, and coffee) were a great touch while we were getting ready and made the morning fun. I am so happy with how everything turned out! Thank you Aura Salon for making me look beautiful on my big day!

I made an appointment for today asking for their best Master colorist to touch up my existing balayage highlights that had grown out a bit, and she absolutely destroyed my hair color by bleaching almost every strand. I don’t know what she was thinking but clearly the stylist had no clue what she was doing. She then assured me she could color it a dark brown and cover it up. Not only did I lose my original highlights but now my hair is a fake looking black, the ends are shades of blue with some pink-gray blotches on the top. The salon’s parting words: “you’re still a beautiful girl”. So demeaning, and they barely apologized and just kept gaslighting me claiming the orange mop was all a “misunderstanding”. Tomorrow morning I’m headed back to my original stylist and actual Master Colorist in Manhattan for an expensive color-correction process.

Leticia has accommodated me wonderfully through all of my various cuts and colors over the years. She also put me on to a variety of great haircare products that have kept my fine, fragile hair smooth, full, and healthy in such a way that I could never achieve prior to consulting with her on a care regimen. I frequently receive compliments – even from total strangers – on my cuts and coloring. I cannot recommend Aura (and Leticia!) enough!
