I came here for the first time and had an appointment with Akane. It was my first time bleaching/colouring my hair, and I think it turned out so amazing!!! Akane was super nice and it was really fun to talk to her about my interests since it was something we had in common. The suggestions she made for my hair type were also very useful, since the colour was a bit different than what I requested but ended up being better than what I had originally planned on getting. If I’m ever back in the Santa Monica area, I’ll definitely come back and get my hair done by Akane again. 🙂

Yes, 5 Stars. It was my first time to do my hair with Akane, and I recommend it. She has a quick and detailed technique which caught my attention. After I finished the whole procedure, cutting, root, partial highlight, blowdryer, my hair was exceptionally shiny. The lounge is spacious, with new and comfortable equipment. Hygiene .

Positive: Cleanliness, Professionalism, Punctuality, Quality, ValueI am always very nervous about going to a new salon for a haircut, due to too many bad experiences in the past and it’s rare that I will go to a salon without a word of mouth recommendation so I took a chance this time, but Yudai was absolutely amazing. Exceeded my expectations. I brought in a photo of what I wanted and he cut it perfectly. Having very long hair, I often find stylists are too eager to cut off too much, but Yudai took off only exactly what I asked for and it looked perfect. Definitely one of the best haircuts I’ve ever had. So if you’re a long-haired lady who gets nervous about haircuts, you’ll be in good hands with him! Akane revived my hair with such care & skill! So appreciative. I went in there feeling down because my hair was looking so thin and straggly and was sure I’d need to chop half of it off. She worked on each section taking off just as much as needed to revive to health & give my hair shape again. Highly Recommend!

I feel bad leaving such a bad review because my stylist was SO NICE. But, I was left so upset. The haircut was terrible and the Brazilian blowout didn’t have enough product and lasted all of 3 days. I’m sure she’ll be great with more practice but I worry the wrong person may not be so nice if that same situation were to happen.
