Stylist butchered my hair after asking for only a trim, an inch maximum off. She cut my hair into way too many layers and after telling her that I part it to the side she still styled it with a middle part. I have a cowlick so I kept telling her I only style it to that one side. After she parted it the way I wanted it I knew something wasn’t right and half of my head had layers and the other didn’t . I asked her to cut more layers on the other side to even it out. I went home and noticed that all my hair was butchered and so uneven. I asked for angled layers but got a butchered grandma cut. On top of all that I asked for full highlights angled mostly around my face. I told her again to part it on the side. She ended up parting it in the middle again and after I saw the color I hated it. I didn’t have not one highlight around my face! Nothing surrounding my hairline and I looked pale and drab. My old highlights around my crown showed the line still. All she had to do was highlight the areas around my face but she didn’t. I’m going to another salon to add more highlights around my face since the way she left me is terrible. I hope my hair grows back quick too since the layers look so choppy. Further to make matters worse her and another stylist, which she told me is the owner of the shop were talking poorly about their clients. She mentioned a guy who is a client there gets drunk all the time and fights with his ex lover of 13 years. What is really horrible is she told me that right before he walked in and I saw the guy. That’s really unprofessional. After he left the stylist who is the owner said I can’t believe why he pays me to get highlights and lowlights. $100 worth of services. It seemed like she was mocking him and meant that it looked bad. She doesn’t even give her clients her honest opinion and then makes fun of them later! I couldn’t believe it. The owner also swore a couple times and seemed excited when talking about the couple who are her clients. She remarked how if the lady was in there she would be complaining about the guy with the highlights. This is trash that these stylists are talking bad about their clients. It infuriates me that they would prey on innocent customers for their enjoyment. Whatever you do don’t go here, not only are they unprofessional and two faced they will butcher your hair, my highlights were no where around my hairline. The hairline is the most important highlight and brings out your face. She doesn’t know how to do hair, beware!

I see Amanda since I found this salon through the South Windsor Chamber. As a hair dresser she is always quick to fit me in. I am quite adventurous with my hair and she is always on board with going as wildly as I can think of. Recently she really out did herself, she crafted a coloring job for my hair that is truly a head turner and has inspired me to have so much fun with my peacock mohawk! If you are bold enough to try it out ask for your peacock color today!
